Just the other day I happened to look at my join date for this account and thought to myself, Jesus has it really been that long?
It’s weird. Most sites I’ll post for a few days and then just move on and forget all about them. For one reason or another, I’ve stuck with this site and keep coming back.
Gots a lot of good memories from this place, and I’ve met a bunch of really awesome people, some I’ve come to adore and some not so much.
Hopefully SRK will carry on for years to come, and hopefully I’ll be able to remain here. Wonderful community with wonderful people.

I dunno. I have no clue who this sasquatch eyebrowed, fat girl loving sumbitch Hybrid Theory is. Name sounds kinda familiar but from a long time ago. People coming back talking shit is just stellar cause I’m ready to fuck em up.
Juggy is just a asshole. Dude always has shit to say and I never notice him until he posts some stupidity quoting one of my posts. He’s a trolling instigator. Fuck him too.
I sort of remember saying something like that. But I think I may have used the wrong words. I wasn’t really bored of SRK. It just became something different all of the sudden. SRK used to be a place I could log on to at any random moment and get a good laugh. Read some interesting topics, or be a part of some really good debates. But then it seemed like almost overnight, it changed. Things started to dumb down. The debates vanished. The humor retired. I’ve always been a sarcastic person. I’ve always tried to convey my point through humor, while enforcing my point strongly. It seemed that people starting taking it to heart though. It was just different all of the sudden. SRK wasn’t dead though. People still logged on by the droves and posted by the thousands. But it just wasn’t for me.
The main reason though, was time. About 1 1/2 years ago, I moved to this godforsaken world known as south Texas. I got a job with the work schedule being 3:30pm-midnight /Monday through Friday. Basically, for the last year and a half, I’ve been at work during the times I would normally visit SRK. At my job, I don’t have internet access from my desk except to company/partnership related sites. So surfring from work is impossible. And fom my memory, SRK was pretty dead on the weekends, so I never even bothered to log on Saturday/Sunday from home.
Combine those two reasons, and it pretty much seemed like I would have to go out my way to log on to SRK. (Which was something I wasn’t enjoying anymore at the time.)

SRK was the shit around 2002 ~ 2004 but like JTJ said it just “changed” and things got REALLY cliquish after “Premium Members” and “#srkgd” was born.
It’s just not for everybody anymore and it’ll never be as good as it was.
SRK was much better from earlier than that. Even when I was lurking in 2k4, the shit was pretty crappy at the time.
I blame the nuthuggers. Too much “co-sign this” and “co-sign that”. Granted everyone is in agreement. But, some may do it for the sake of not wanting to get flamed hard. But then again, what do I know? I was never really on the recieving end of a flame thread. Little flames here and there, but nothing too crazy. 2000 through 2002 was more about the gaming.

I think I caught the tail end of Old SRK when I was lurking around here in late 2k2. After I signed up, I picked up immediate beef from some people; I’m still not sure why, but I can ban them now. Ha-fuckin’-ha.

Shit, his eyebrows alone could avatars. He’s kinda fat, too, but the kind of fat you’d overlook after looking at him and his girfriend together. I remember the matching tags and the “love you forever” talk. He was like 14 at the time. Maybe Shade or Cheebs can shed some light on that.
I unfortuanelty dont go on as much as I would like. But i do remeber a time when we a much smaller and i guess u could say serious/expertise group of gamers. Popularity and more people using teh internet can take away alot. Overall though SRK is still a nice site for the most part, alhough i now go to pernsonalized sites more, (for examply the GG Slash site for GG Slash.) Although if u play 3s and play fighting games seriously i would say this is one of your homes on the web.

Lurking was fun for me in O1 - I remember seeing a lot of Gundam avs and debates.
Joined when O2 came around, I tossed myself in the debates on purpose by saying dumb stuff.
Guess I was really bored then. 
I remember SpiderOptix and Psychosquall knocking out all these awesome avs and stuff.
