FWIW: PalMod is under active development again. There’s a new in-progress version on my site:
http://zachd.com/mvc2/colors
that fixes a lot of the long-standing bugs. If you ARE using PalMod, you probably want to use the new version.

FWIW PalMod 1.42 now shows Eidrian’s descriptive strings for MvC2 palettes, which should make editing even more logical.
