Eurocom laid off a ton of staff and is now doing just mobile games.
I guess 007 is going back into retirement on consoles
It looks like a THQ PR person had to come out and ‘explain’ comments made by Metro dev
He’s not taking back what they said or anything but something that he did say had to do with the conversation that we had. Metro is a CPU intensive game and in order for them to make it work on Wii U they’d have to retool it and have a dedicated team working on that version something that they can’t do currently with it being enough for them to make the game on 360 and then port it to PS3. They only have a small group of people work on the game. They did acknowledge that there are developers finding ways around the issues.
Comments by the Digital Foundry guy sound also pretty inline with what Bunkei was saying earlier in terms of power consumption.
So again we gotta wait to see in a couple of years before any true judgement calls are going to be made on this. Aliens: Colonial Marines is the next big 3rd party multi plat title followed by InJustice and I’m sure there’s some other things to be announced since next to nothing has been announced coming out in the first half of next year.
Some Random thoughts…I enjoy Miiverse so much that I think Nintendo needs to have like a general forum banner or even have banners for games that aren’t even out yet but are confirmed to be coming to the system. I’m sure someone probably has thought about this already and I’m fully expecting a system update that should allow that in the future.
A full fledged console Phoenix Wright would probably work really well on this system. Use the gamepad to search around rooms for evidence and being able to examine it on the pad as well. It’d pretty much be a souped up version of the ones on DS/3DS. If Capcom was to do it though I wouldn’t put it out at $60 though.
RadiantSilvergun also said Okami coould probably work pretty well with this setup too. Anytime you’d go to draw the screens would switch seemlessly allowing you to draw with the tablet.
Animal Crossing will really benefit from this thing especially with custom designs. I see all these drawings people are doing on miiverse and I’m imagining all of that potential being released into that game. Hell…artistic customization in most games should be done quite well.
I’m having a really hard time not thinking about Smash right now…
