After being on the fence about the console…the WalMart deal was too good to pass up.
Looking forward to this adventure with Nintendo and the WiiU

Some details about in-game voice chat some kind of disappointing.
Uhg…come on. I don’t even game online much and yet I find this obnoxious.
Yea, the online chat limitations are fucking dumb. There needs to be a wireless headset.
here we go again Nintendo, here we go again…
So first there’s no ethernet port now they’re telling me I can’t just use any bluetooth headset at any point of the console’s use? Who makes these decisions? Monkeys?
Sounds par for the course given their history of peripherals. They’re just setting things up now to eventually sell 1st party headsets in the future. $30 retail price, $5 to manufacture.
Look for Star Fox U (developed by Platinum) bundled with wireless headset to be released Fall 2014. Followed by Zelda U (developed by Retro) bundled with RAM expansion in Holiday Season 2015.
Yeah I read that report at work and kind head head desked in the back. They goofed. Hopefully this time around though they can actually patch this mistake and possibly add a headphone jack to the pro controller. If that controller is able to have the power to hold a charge for 80 hours then it’d be most ideal to have a headset plugged into that vs. the Wii U pad which holds it for significantly less. If the Wii U pad dies then you gotta set it near a the charging station and that’s going to limit your freedom even further. Thinking about it further though…this goof up can actually probably be fixed easily so long as Nintendo realizes that they fucked up AND finds a way to utilize the bluetooth in much the same way the PS3 does for their headsets. I know you’re usually the innovator of stuff Nintendo but don’t be afraid to take some ideas here and there from your competitors and jump off from there…especially if you’re planning to take online seriously like you say you are.
Someone tweet Geoff and tell him the next time he meets Reggie to drill him on this and see what happens >)…
Also there will be Mario and Zelda related characters and items in Scribblenauts for Wii U.
Link and Mario are not ready for Cthulu
And now I picture Reggie’s -chin- with a troll face.
Looks like Wii U kiosks are starting to show up in Best Buys and GS. Gaf has a thread with impressions of people playing it.
I’m going to be out of town in Louisiana for most of next week so I won’t know if my store gets one in until I’m back Friday.
Edit:
NFS: Most Wanted for Wii U spotted at retailer site
Just tried the Wii U at my Gamestop and the Gamepad was surprisingly light felt good on the hands. Finally got to see the console in person and it’s as long as the pictures make it out to be I like it though should fit with my current setup without any rearrangements. I tried to gauge how loud the console was but it was too hard as the demo station used a loud fan. My only regret is pre-ordering the black instead of white.
Don’t play with my emotions on the Star Fox title, I would buy it! Even if Slippy is on the headset!
Kamiya said he would like to make one.
Oh my lord.
This is one of those rumors and things that will make me feel like a gleeful child anxiously awaiting something amazing, only to be shattered in the cold, harsh reality of adult life.
As long as it’s required for online play only…
Wont be buying EA games for Wii-U.
Ditto, not that I buy much to begin with.
I’m not bothered, been using Origin for a while for PC games already
I want the new NFS…I love Criterion racers.
Something smells like an oculus rift
