Well, the only other thing on during this time is Saturday Night Live…and that is a show I thought most people haven’t cared about since the 90s, with the 1 exception of any Christopher Walken appearance, or the Debbie Downer segments. (Deb Downer is the only recently funny thing to come out of that show, imo.)
CN is definitely on the right track now, in my opinion. Besides this new Toonami, the Saturday/Sunday morning block is GOLD.

Watched Deadman Wonderland last weekend and man if that ain’t some terrible shit. The voice acting is atrocious. “How big are those titties?” Man that was embarrassing. What’s with anime and their high volume of child/teenager protagonists or just messed up violent shit happening to teens/pre teens? I was hoping that lil intro in the beginning would’ve have actually killed the child and just been used to set up the threat. When the boy lived I figured he was going to get a super power out of it. It would’ve been far more interesting if they didn’t take that route and used an older protagonist and better voice actors.

people still complaining about english dubs in 2012? it’s not the early 90’s anymore guys, CPM isn’t dubbing your shows.
They still complain about it not bleeding 300% japan you know? I never quite got the massive egos people got over dubs being the devil and subs being the only thing that should exist. There was a LOT MASSIVE AMOUNTS of it in anime “clubs” to this day.
As long as the show doesn’t have weird bits of terrible writing like Funimation DBZ did (“SAD FOR YOOOUUUU!!1!”), then I don’t see the problem.
well, during the very early days of fandom, dubs were fucking awful. the english dub of M.D. Geist sums up the general quality of all dubs that came out from the mid 80’s to mid 90’s. so, people had a right to complain about it.
however, those who still complain about the quality of dubs today, have abnormally high standards. since when were cartoons suppose to have grade-A voice acting? do you see Spongebob getting top-notch voice actors to do epic lines, no. so why the hell do people expect something like DW to get a great dub? you guys need to stop taking this shit so seriously
Weaboos that’s all it is, I’ve seen some anime’s in both english and japanese and sometimes the english is better (like Goku for example) but whatever I just find it silly to bitch about it.
