Chinese swimmer athlete Ye Shiwen smashed world record by a second and her own personal best by five.
At the age of just 16 Ye Shiwen managed to swim the final 50m length in the race in a time of 28.93, a time that was quicker than the men’s champion Ryan Lochte.

i refuse to believe that. maybe if it was lacross, but i dont even know of any place in america they play mens field hockey. i live in Massachusetts aka whitey white ville and even here thats a girl sport.
kinda curious how people join the olympic weightlifting…seems like something alot of people could do. from what i can tell its not a subjective thing like depending on a judges opinion/score. you lift the amount or you dont.
thats what im figuring which why i’m curious how they decide who gets on the team. alot of the sports are so convoluted on how to become a olympic hopeful. tkd is sooo fuckin confusing. when i was younger i was interested in chasing that, but i couldnt figure out a sure fire path to how you make it there.
