Is it me or do the hitstun animations look kind of… halfassed? There’s only one animation for getting hit in the air, and two at most for getting hit on the ground and even then it doesn’t really look like they’re getting hit hard. It just looks incomplete to me.
Also, Namco recently registered a trademark for “Tales of LMBS”, complete with a logo. Perhaps they’re planning on, I dunno, licensing out the LMBS engine? Or perhaps it’ll just be an umbrella brand for the games.
Anyone playing ToVS? Its quite fun except the AI keeps running away to get the items. They know where the items are, and you don’t.
I’ve finally seen the screenshots of PS3 Vesperia’s extras…
Team Colliesum, Tales Cameo costumes (Lovin the Chloe :lovin:, Lloyd, Rutee :lovin: and Judas ones the most.), and Clint teams up with Nan and Tison finally?
There are other updates as well but this is more than enough for PS3 owners to consider picking this up.
Besides, how can anyone pass this port up now that Rita has… INDIGNATION!!!.

I’ve already beaten the game twice in english and done all the x360 sidequests so it should be easy enough to play the japanese version.
im still hesitant on spending like 90 some odd dollars on a game in a language i barely comprehend.
im still holdin out for some hope, but if nothing is announced in a few months, ill most likely import it as well
Well, I don’t think there have been any Japan only Tales games, right?
I guess they got the PS2 version of Symphonia though, which is a similar deal, but not quite as big.
There’s a bunch of Japan-only tales games, it’s just that so far, we missed out on the past 3 remakes ( ToD:R, ToD:DC, ToS PS2).
I don’t know about this game though, it’s become a bigger complaint than I thought it would be. I used to think Vesperia hadn’t sold that well…
PS3 slim purchase is looking more likely for me everyday…
Well these are the ones not in the US:
On the PS2 they have Tales of Rebirth and Tales of Destiny 2 (the real one, not Tales of Eternia)
On DS they have Tales of the Tempest, Tales of Hearts, and Tales of Innocence
A couple of spin off games on PSP, PS1 and I think GBA.
Not to mention Tales of Phantasia on PSP, SNES and PS1(we got the shitty GBA Version), Tales of Destiny Remake on PS2 (maybe on PSP?), Tales of Rebirth PSP, Destiny 2 on PSP, probably a couple more.
This is what I remember seeing in Japan off the top of my head.
And of course, Tales of Versus on PSP. It’s worth playing even if you can’t read japanese. It’s pretty fun.
Yeah, you got pretty much all of them, aside from the remakes.
It’s possible to play PS1 Phantasia in english now… cough cough but why would you, there’s still lag when using summons. ToD and Tales games after it have spoiled it for me

yeah I had PSP rebirth in the list, I own the PS2 version and need to play it. I heard it’s really good

Yuri’s second Mystic Arte is fucking amazing, he actually uses the giant angel feather lightsaber attack from the opening. And holy mother of God the Yuri/Flynn dual Mystic Arte is EPIC.
