I worked as an unloader at UPS for almost 2 years. I just recently quit to go back to school.
At first it seems hard, but your body gets used to it and it becomes fun as hell. Luckily I think I have a spot there anytime I return, and if I wasn’t giong to finish my schooling i’d be doing that in a heart beat.
full benefits, not so good of pay, but you get a workout in everyday.

oh yeah, if you stick in there and become a driver… they make ridiculous pay. I’m takling 6 figures for some. During peak season (christmas time) you can get extreme amounts of money with overtime and all. I remember talking to a driver the day before christmas eve and he goes “wow, i’ve never made $700 in one day before.” I was just like :0
yo, for unemployment benefits, trying applying for the state that you were previously in since AZ wont let you do it…i know during the application they ask you about that sort of thing and sometimes it is transfered over so it might work…
Looks like today’s the first day of my “extended vacation”. I was asked to resign yesterday so now I have to begin the hunt for a new job. It sucks because I’ve spent the past few years in a profession other than what I studied for and now I want to switch to what my degree is in. The only problem is that I have no experience in the field I’m applying for so it’ll be interesting to find a new job.
Good news is that there’s plenty of time to catch up on a lot of stuff.
