I would say that the most plausible contenders for DLC are these right here:
M.Bison - THE image that comes to mind when thinking of capcom villains.
Mega Man - Too iconic to exclude.
Strider - As stated, huge fan support and has history with the MvsC series.
These three are the only ones I’m convinced must be included as DLC - if they are not, then it will be a serious loss.

I’m trying to adjust with MVC3, it looks great. I like how they added Deadpool, X-23, Zero, Trish and Dante. However, if strider is not in the game i don’t think i will remain a Marvel player anymore. I’ve been a strider player for 12 years (mvc1). I began when i opened up a gamepro magazine that gave MVC1 strats… and from recalling those times, my ass got handed by Wolverines. Anyway, Gamepro said that the only way to seriously dominate your opponents was to use Strider. After practicing with Strider, i was able to fight and defeat wolverines. As MVC2 came along, strider/sentinel/doom was my main.
So really, if strider is not in it… i probably will retire. I just don’t think i can play a Marvel game with out him. Therefore, dissida 012 is on my reservation list :sad:
When will you guys learn that obscure don’t really mean anything when it comes to Marvel vs Capcom. I mean you say Strange won’t make it in because he’s fairly obscure little-known Marvel superhero, yet his tales are repped by Shuma Gorath & Dormammu who are less known then Strange, sound weird fam, The bold is valid tho.
I’d like to see Capcom pull the rug on everyone and have an obscure character added that no one asked for.

I still can’t believe that Dr. Strange didn’t make the retail roster. I don’t think I’d call him an obscure character, either. He’s been getting considerable attention in the comics recently. New Avengers, the Brother Voodoo mini, World War Hulk, recent Dr. Strange mini… The only problem has been the writing (“My cloak doesn’t work under these conditions!”). When inter-dimensional shit goes down in the Marvel universe, Dr. Strange typically gets involved by the end of the first issue.

It doesn’t matter who’s dominating who, as long as they’re in the top 10 they’re good. The plan is to show the top requests, not just the #1 requests.
Besides Strider has less abilities than X so he’s objectively more boring.
I asked for him… But then Chris had to take his moveset.
Though I would buy the Punisher as DLC even if he was a complete Chris colne.
LOL @ the Marvel list. Psylocke, Venom, Cyclops, Ms. Marvel, and Rogue are all boring as fuck. Even Juggernaut is pretty “meh” since we’ve already got Hulk.

Cyclops and Rogue can go fuck, but don’t you dare diss Venom or Ms. Marvel. Venom has some dope morphing abilities and landing Venom Web is so satisfying. MM fits this game like a glove, she has so much shit she can do. There’d be lasers everywhere in this bitch.
And I think we all know why people want Psylocke in this game.

Venom’s venom web was shit. The fact of the matter is, Strider is the more popular fighting game character than X. He’s won every capcom popularity poll, to MVC3 wishlists and requests… X hasn’t. X made it high on wishlists because during the time, no body would imagine capcom cutting strider, stupid kid.
