im talking about dead Marvel characters because capcom can’t just put in any marvel character… phoenix isn’t actually dead, there are talks of jean grey coming back this year i think.
She is dead at the moment. Are you trying to come up with a plan to get rid of some marvel so your favorite characters can be top 10?
From what I heard that Jean Grey will be back in DIFFERENT universe/dimension, therefore Carpark is still valid.

Isn’t the point of marvel’s allowing of it’s characters for advertising/pop increase purposes, and she is rumored to return very soon, which is why Marvel allowed it.
But, nice try with the e-thugging, flame baiting, and spamming of this thread. If a person has an opinion on certain conditions on the dlc thing here, don’t be an ass about it because it doesn’t make you look some elite, idiot. 
Jean grey was announced to return before the announcing of mvc3 and she was never dead but was in a white room or something, i think.
Marvel
- Gambit - Just too sick to not include
- Doctor Octopus - kind of a “weak” villain but his limbs open up huge possibilities for a move list. Also another grappler character to mix it up (assuming grappling is a viable tactic in mvc3)?
- Nightcrawler - I remember having a blast with him in the beat-em-up games. His teleport could also provide for some interesting play.
Capcom
- Phoenix Wright - Haters aside, I could see him as a trap/counter type of character to fit in with the themes of his games. Some super with the magatama chains would be so epic. Just think of it: a full screen of chains going everywhere and shattering. It’s enough to make a grown man cry
- Mega Man - Don’t care which version but I think a lot of people would like to have an all Mega Man team and now they can.
- Virgil - A character to round out an all DMC team. All the top Capcom franchises (SF, Mega Man, RE, DMC) can have their full team of 3.
Which is why I mentioned him being some sort of special guest character (with Voldo being the Namco counterpart not from the Tekken franchise, for example).
The MvC series focus a fair bit on the air game, if in the very least to make sure everyone has launcher -> air combos, and when character not from 1-on-1 fighting games get included, they usually get moves added. For Gene to work, he’d probably get lots of his possible ground moves (what I think would make him fit best with the Tekken system/controls) from the original game removed and need a lot of new ones for aerial attacks, so it’s just hard for me to imagine him working well with that engine, although he’d still be welcome.
Also, I’m not 100% sure, but doesn’t the God Hand mode make him temporarily invencible? That’d be tricky to translate into a super, unless it were a level 5 exception like the Phoenix resurrection, which would just make the opponent avoid him until it wore off…
