My girlfriend had a friend whose ex designed and built a chair that makes it looks like you’re sitting in a giant flower. I thought it was pretty cool. I mean I guess it was kind of gay but it reminded me of a huge plant monster. A gay huge plant monster.

Also I think one day I’d like to buy a “designer recliner” just because it sounds so obnoxious. Hopefully I can get those words embroidered onto it in gold thread. I don’t know a lot about typefaces, but I’m envisioning a biiig cursive font with lots of needless flourishes and probably an underline that connects to the last letter.
You guys would have a blast at my friend’s dad’s studio. He reupholsters and build furniture. It’s amazing to see stuff go in there and come out completely different. Some of his pieces are well over $10k each, like this on reproduction chair he did in gold leaf. He did my couches for me. We picked out that nice gold silk with white wood trim. Looks nice, but our kids are messing them up. Oh well, we’ll just reupholster them again next year. He doesn’t charge much because I help him with all the work. It’s pretty fun, too. :tup:
