still, $100 for a near perfect representation of one of my gaming idols does seem a tad steep
most likely going to buy it myself. they are supposed to come out with small vinyl figures as well
pretty sure silver is not planned. i did see a knux concept though. looked equally as nostalgic as the sonic statue.

Yeah, it said classic Genesis-era. And that even looks like old style Sonic. But I still hope that they do some of the newer characters too. I really like Vector and Blaze.

If anything, I gotta commend Sonic Team for the best Sonic FMV since Sonic CD. Sonic’s run right before getting caught by Robotnik was just classic Sonic attitude!
Truth.
So far this game hasn’t done nearly enough to prove that it can break the sinister cycle of Sonic shit. The reason why Sonic Team can get away with shitty games is because they release them with little sprinkles of fanservice that fans are so desperate to gobble up that they don’t care what kind of poop they shovel into their mouths to get at it.
I like both versions of Robotnik/Eggman. In terms of personality though, Eggman (I’m calling Eggman the version of him from Sonic Adventure and up) out does his earlier self. Robotnik didn’t seem like too much of a threat as the most epic thing he’s done was during S3&K. Eggman has caused Station Square to almost get destroyed twice, blown up half of the moon, threatened to blast the earth with the same beam that was used on the moon, actually came REEEALLY close to tossing sonic out in space and killing him, ect. I was a bit surprised when He pointed a gun point blank at Amy. He still retains some of his old silliness but He’s been becoming more and more series as the games have been progressing. I’m actually starting to wonder what role if any does he play in Chronicles.
Sonic the Unstoppable:
I have to say I agree. Every time I hear about a new sonic game, theres a twinge of hope that goes tingling down my spine, then they take that twinge and throw it on the floor, stomp on it, put it in their mouths and chew with their molars until Im left just a little more dead inside. Sometimes I dont even get that far though, like with the new game just announced where hes holding a SWORD? :shake:
Vector is what I call a “2nd generation” Sonic character unless you count debuting as a playable character in 1995 as “new”, maybe even earlier in comics and other media. (I remember his arrival distinctly because Knuckles Chaotix is perhaps my most cherished Sonic game despite Sonic himself, and my fave character Tails, not being playable. And it’s the ONLY game I had for 32X lol.)
Is there anyway to play Sonic Battle besides GBA?
And who here plans to get Unleashed on PS2? What are the big differences between it and PS3/360 aside from the obvious graphical upgrades and what the hell is this “Hedgehog Engine” about?
Yeah, but Vector certainly still isn’t classic. The only characters I would consider classic are Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Amy, Robotnik, and Metal Sonic. Maybe Mecha Sonic and Egg Robo too if you consider them main characters. Hell, even though Espio appeared in the old arcade game, I still wouldn’t call him a classic character personally.
So having finally 100% finished DMC4 and R&C Future, I went back to Sonic '06 to complete it. Holy Hell this is, without a doubt, the worst Sonic game ever. So god-damned slow! Why are there so many loading screens too? And who put a fucking shop in my Sonic game? The story is also pretty bad. And Robotnik’s new skinhead look is almost as bad as Silver. Oh, and that desert level where you have to shield as you run across sand…
Yea that’s why I said “2nd generation”. I thought you were grouping Vector with Blaze, who I know absolutely nothing about because I haven’t played Sonic '06, or whatever handheld game she was in before that. But im getting Riders 2 in a few days so I should catch a glimpse of her there. Also thinking of copping Gems Collection because I haven’t experienced Sonic CD yet.
Go play Sonic Rush and Rush Adventure, they are awesome. And Blaze is my favorite character to play as in Riders: Zero Gravity. lol
They need to remake the origionals in HD, I think that’s the only think that will get me playing again…
Y’all should give the handheld ones a try. Seriously, all Advances and both Rushes are quite fun, and very much more like old skool. Even Rivals 2 on PSP is fairly good, and more classic-style than the 3D junk (and it’s a racing game!).
No!!! I wanna play Sonic Battle!! Plus I don’t have an Advance, DS, or handheld system except Game Gear.
if you dont have a gba or a ds just fucking emulate it like everyone else.
