Capcom Unity Fanboys don’t get it… Capcom can release whatever type of game they want. We as consumers have every right to tell them it sucks and is not meeting our expectations. Lots of people were in a “take my money please” mode until Capcom dropped this stupid mechanic on us. And the simple solution still remains… Make no-gems an optional mode and everyone is happy and buys the game.
I expect if I buy it at all it will be used to prevent Capcom making a cent. Gems mode without the option to disable is middle finger to the fans. If it was so inherent you wouldn’t be able to “not” equip any gems… I feel sorry 4 Seth. Guys got the crappiest job to do right now.

But don’t worry - I myself (and a lot of others too) don’t depend on Capcom to have (good) FGs - and even if that’s the case, there is a lot of good games already released who are worth themselves of high level play.
And also: all the “bitching” is pretty much a needed case if we want a good quality product. Sitting and accepting every shit that Capcom throw at us will not make a good fighting game at the end of the day.

I’m pissed off. I’m almost sure that DLC gems won’t be allowed in tournaments, but there’s still so many problems with this system. My biggest beef is that no matter what happens, it seems like we’re going to play with a different set of rules offline and online.
If I want to practice in a ranked match, I’m going to have to play against people that pre-ordered the special edition, and they really are going to have an advantage.
Shouldn’t we all just not play this game? They don’t have us in mind…

there is nothing wrong with casuals getting this game and its DLC~ in fact more power to them~ your going to complain about online ranked matched being filled with people using Gems and DLC Gems…get over it.
you only have a say so in player matches(if they agree to playing w/o Gems) and in offline play~ they designed the game with Gems in mind…they are not going to change that at this point.
this game appeals to most people, its just in a tournament setting(mostly offline) people are going to perfer playing without Gems altogether or only Ban DLC Gems. Like the Smash Community sadly thats how this game is going to be. there will be tournaments with Gems, some without~ Saying the Game only appeals to Casuals is total BS…

I only play offline, so it doesn’t effect me too much :l
