Rufus is so fucking stupid, tons of damage with no meter, half the cast has no good way to keep him out and he has so much time to combo from his divekick, you don’t even need to try and you’ll get crossup into magic series launcher. I’ve had huge leads on a match, (like one hit from K.O) and here comes a rufus tag-in and its comeback of the century. You block until you get bodied. Fucking joke man, tekken cast needs more keepaway tactics for this kind of bullshit.
Agreed, Rufus seems to be top along with Rolento.
Not really complaining, just agreeing he’s really fucken good.
The number of stages on this game is a joke. Why does Street Fighter II have more stages than this game? MK9 had 20+. Tekken 6 had at least 17, some w/ multilevels just like sfxt.
This entire game screams “We’re holding back for profit”.
I actually like the stages, I think they have a lot of cool shit going on in them and there are multiple parts to them. I don’t really see that being a valid complaint when SF4 had dumb shit like the volcanic island. The stage that are included are pretty neat, at least in my opinion.
The included stages are neat…that’s not the complaint. The lack of stages is.
SF4 when shipped didn’t have many stages either, they added more during Super. Some were just a simple Night/Day v_v.
And it was garbage then, too.
I like the backgrounds in sfxt. They’re busy with easter eggs n’ all, but its nothing we haven’t seen before & not big enough to justify only 11 stages. And keep in mind not all of them have multiple parts. At least have more than 11 songs. Compared to Capcom’s competitors, the stages are lightweight. But im sure a DLC with four extra stages are coming.
I don’t like the stages in this game. Way too spazzy and distracting. I much preferred most of the SF4 stages, they were varied and interesting without taking away from the match. In this game the backgrounds are so crazy they’re more interesting than the fighting.
I can’t help but feel that this game is a missed opportunity. My concerns with the game stem from the fact that it “has no soul,” but there’s more to it than that. It’s like a forced marriage between genres, based on a great idea, but with no clear goal and really poor execution.
Main issues with SFxT:
[LIST]
[]Flashy does not equal pretty. SSF4 has a balanced color palette, stable camera, calm environments, and clean-looking characters. In SFxT, characters are constantly flashing green and yellow, the camera is seizure-inducing, effects cover half the screen, crazy environments distract from the match, and the soundtrack is embarrassingly bad.

[LIST]
[]Capcom has released more than 55 games (counting all platforms) since Street Fighter IV was released. Capcom is a big company, but their profit-maximization is proving to be more than the quality of their games can handle. Half the content in SFxT is recycled animations from previous games, and the rest is based on imitation from other games. There’s very little new creative content here, and the core mechanics of the game is ripped off from other games. The only new content are things the fans dislike, such as gems and pandora mode.

Minor issues/annoyances:
[LIST]
[]A general lack of creativity is covered up by gimmicks, gems and “character customization”.
[]The game was released with a severe sound bug, making it unplayable online.
[]Tons of DLC content could have been in the game on launch, but was omitted for Capcom’s greed.
[]Character balance is a severe issue, especially with some tag teams being clearly better.
[*]Lack of diverse game modes, stages, and characters. The game is poor on content.

All in all, the game feels like a missed opportunity and a disappointment. Like some eccentric Japanese people with little artistic and mechanical insight had too much freedom with the game design and direction. Saturday nights will still feature Super Street Fighter IV for me and my friends. Too bad, Capcom, too bad.
Gems should be banned (because the $$$ supposedly are better), but I don’t see why dlc characters should, maybe depending on how abusive are the prices are.
Still, tournaments are and should always be the reference point in the fighting game community. Banning all dlc is something I’d really like to see done.
Tourney organizers are potentially the most screwed by DLC characters. They will have to pay for each system they own for each character potentially, ore have one system with all DLC and other systems that just have default and people will have to request the console with all characters etc. Most TO’s operate out of pocket.
I really don’t like the closeups on throws, is it possible to turn off?
I don’t really care for any stages except for Mad Gear Hideout and Mishima Estate.
Well PS3 is useful for DLC-share. But you still need to muck around with stuff. And them changing the system (i think i read from a while back) from 5 to only 3 consoles is bleh. And it doesn’t make it any better from a TO point of view. I can’t see DLC gems being used at all.
Mortal Kombat accepted DLC chars. Characters aren’t an issue, but seeing some of those gems…wow.
Fuck Rolento.

Omg it feels so weird just playing some good old ae. Seriously, ae will always be my favourite game.
Also after playing sfxt ae looks 10x better
No special credits?!? I’m disappointed
i dont like the apparent balance yet… and the jab,jab hitconfirm timing pisses me off in general.
other than that i like most aspects of the game.
