sigh. If I wanted to play a game that’s all about turtling I play something else. Divekick is all about waiting for your opponent to come close and you simply jump and one shot him. Pretty pointless. A game that gets old in 30 mins isn’t worth anybody’s time.
Lol, turtling in divekick…turtling involves blocking as part of the strategy. Divekick is about movement in fighting games. Movement, ground game are valuable things in fighters. Its cool all you want is comboozzz mein. Thats why Infiltration was bodying fools with his boost chain Rolento during his rolento days and Desk was at home doing little combo videos not competing.
You know I was actually gonna post something along these lines but didnt wanna get involved in the end. Plus he still uses boost combos with Alisa because he knows it leads to better damage with much less chance of fucking up than her solo combos.
Also turtling doesnt neccesarily involve blocking imo, and there most certainly are ways to ‘turtle’ in divekick, while building meter to boot.
Now that The Dark World is about a month away, maybe it’s time for the obligatory…
I like boost chains, i think it’s cool that nearly every button has a purpose. Footsies feel way more diverse than in most standard Capcom games.

For me ultimately when all is said and done online lag from other people ruins any fighting game online even tekken tag 2 is full of laggers on shared wireless.
You cant take any online fighting game seriously because of this it’s just a bit of fun, but like I said just too many people going online with a bad connection can ruin the fun.So I am saying goodbye to this game it’s okay but just on the wrong side of too laggy.
i say the same thing every other day but im addicted to the game and have to drive a few hours for offline so i find myself grinding it out online with a sour look on my face night after night. better to have than have not.
How does the ranking system work? Whenever I lose to someone with thousands more points than me and a higher rank I lose 20ish points and they get 32 points. I beat someone of a higher rank once, don’t remember how many points I got. When I lost to someone in the same rank I lose 40 points. When I beat someone in the same rank I get 22 points. When I beat someone of a lower rank I get 12 points? Don’t understand, points shouldn’t matter, it is online afterall. However this is pretty annoying.
I think is the first time I have ever rage quit on a match but Rufus ticks me off so much. I was playing with my friend and lately he has been playing with Rufus. Well his Rufus had been getting really good and I couldn’t do anything and felt like I was blocking the whole match and once I got close he would jump and his j. roundhouse would beat any of my attacks. I finally caught him and then dropped the combo and was so frustrated I just said I am sick of it and disconnected the cord. I finally see why some rage quit although its still funny. I felt so helpless and said screw it I don’t want to be stressed out before heading to work lol!
