The Official Ranting Thread

I hear you there dude. I dropped like three games in the last few months (and ignored P4A which saddens me deeply) because I knew that between this game and TTT2, my FG time would be gone. Thankfully my Tekken ability isn’t completely dead so it’s just a matter of learning new characters (ended up dropping Julia for now, Leo actually reminds me more of T5 Julia nowadays), throw tech and the tag system.

I wish Anna had made it in to SFxT as well. Actually considering picking her back up in tag2 although like Julia, her transition to T6’s system feels “off” to me.

Anyways, I tend to play it by ear but go one day off/on for each game. It helps that I’m playing tag2 on pad and SFxT on stick as well, keeps them mentally separated when switching between games if that makes sense.

You forgot to add:

And you have little brothers/sisters who like to play YouTube videos at ‘convenient’ times.

You people know EXACTLY what I’m talking about, that’s why you’re jumping so damn much.

Lol! Granted, I’m usually wireless myself so if I notice the connections are getting really laggy/rollback-happy I’ll move my setup to the be near the router in the living room and go wired.

It just sucks when I wanna play at night in the bedroom. -___-

That sucks you got your router outside your bedroom. I have no clue why you would subject yourself to that torture. If you’re the one playing online games in the house no reason why you shouldn’t get rights to the router.

Ironically, my router stays the same wireless as it when it is wired. I swear this puertorican technology is so weird. I noticed no packet loss when I switch though. I have speedtested on both and I get the same ping in either format. So I decided to go wireless cause I only have one ethernet jack on the kitchen. Either way I am still gonna lag cause I have the distance factor against me so it really doesn’t matter.

I knew you was a scrub! Playing Juri, Cammy and the like.

You’re terrible, Kappa.

I will switch to a brand new router soon. I will try to come up for a reason so my ISP can give me one of their newer models. I have heard they are already port forwarded and supposedly handle latency better than my old ass router :frowning:

I don’t notice any lag in our matches but I’m in FL we basically run on Puertorican technology anyways.

My apartment is not that big and the walls are basically as thin as cardboard (lol) so I guess latency is not fucked up because I am running wireless ATM. I had a big ass ethernet cable from the kitchen to the room but it was too messy and my stepmother bitched about it so I had to take it out. :frowning: The fact of the matter is I get good connections with people on the east coast all the way to Texas…anything beyond that…well it can get unplayable really quickly. I think Texas being the farthest my connection can go sadly :frowning:

LOL! That’s a damn good wireless connection. Not many can say they have it that good.

I am blessed it seems. But then again your Internet is godlike Songi. I think it speaks more about your internet overall. lol xD Ironically after I fought you today I ran into your nemesis team. FGAPein and the Rolento player. Needless to say they were lagging and talking smack on the mic. Actually they weren’t salty or anything but they way they talk can seem rude and obnoxious to people who don’t understand spanish that much. So I feel you on that one.

In the previous apartment/living situation this was the case, and I had a roommate that I swore ate torrents for breakfast, lunch and dinner, plus a shitty IP.

In the current living situation, it’s by choice. It’s not so bad, as I’m not in my bedroom often enough, and when I used to have get-togethers at my place it made more sense.

…eh. It’s me being lazy the more I think about it.

Scumbag Scrubby player: plays Cammy/Juri on wi-fi.

In all seriousness, I really don’t play on wi-fi all that often and usually have good connections either way. If I notice a string of bad connections or get one complaint though… I will drag my monitor and system out to the living/dining room and go right back to wired.

I always reset my modem/router and play wired during planned online sessions, ie. the bi-weekly online tourneys.

LOL glad you actually ran into em. They lagged quite a bit for me so that’s why they beat me when I first met up with them. It was pretty much impossible to anti-air his Rolento and at first I absolutely refused to believe that I couldn’t anti-air him. I then finally gave up trying and just blocked all his little gimmicks and punished with raw launchers whenever I knew he was going to cr. Mk. I kinda hate matches like that, but they’re part of the game and learning how to adjust is part of it too.

Dont sweat their connection is pretty bad. They had orange bars with me and we are from the same territory. Obviously something was not right there bro. I lost to them as well. :frowning: I told them we should run it back offline and got insulted by the Rolento player :frowning: hahahah

LOL! That is great. That Rolento is truly an “online warrior.” I was so happy they accepted my match the next day after I had that humilating defeat at their hands. I gave them such a bad beatdown they didn’t know wtf just happend. I felt like Tatsu giving out beatdowns for free when it was all said and done. Of course, I accepted their match the next time and the same exact thing happend except I made it a point to get a perfect and then finish it up with pandora in R3.

Needless to say, they now deny all further matches with me because they know a fluke when they see one.

hahaha You got a Pandora finish? You the man. The Cody player (Pein) is a tournament player though. But he can seem obnoxious at times. I have a score to settle with him in both AE and SFxT now. I have to learn that Cody match up :frowning:

His Cody used that slide a lot. Everytime you think he’s going for that slide just throw out a random launcher. I bet you he’ll cower in fear after he gets hit once by a launcher. Only the truly brilliant Cody players can escape a raw launcher.

I just lost to a fucking stupid ass Blanka jumping around like a damn idiot. How do I Anti Air that motherfucker? :frowning: My DP traded and my Cr MP with Raven did nothing -__- I’m so mad right now.

Hey I am a Ryu player and I find this offensive. :stuck_out_tongue: Granted I didn’t Tatsu derp derp my way to victory and I also I am a firm believer the donkey kick nerf was neccesary to separate the frauds from the real shoto players. I wish that my DP wasn’t so ass at times. SFIV Vanilla Ryu Shoryuken was the best DP. It beat every jump in clean. I also approve of the loop Nerf to Raven…I think people didn’t bother learning any other BnB’s with Raven cause of how good of a punish looping 5 Cr. Fierces was back in the day.

Yeah I really hate how you can’t anti-air blanka unless you got a fully invincible AA. I have to bring out Lili for dat ass.
