I only play ranked with friends these days. It´s just so much fun taking on the challenge of team management, effectively doubling your effort by playing only half the time. Gonna teach those jerks not to underestimate Cross Assault resets and combos.
what is a “try hard”?
Definition for try hard:
“A person usually of little talent who tries hard, especially through imitation, to succeed, usually to gain fame or popularity”
it’s a term used in the FPS community, but i use it across all genres of gaming.
Someone who beats them.
oh,like the SF4 community OHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH…
Asuka and ibuki are not that bad.
/end rant
Why are people still doing stupid long ass combos with 17 switch cancels. Can these people not see my health bar is NOT MOVING!?
this.
it’s so stupid, if I do a basic combo with hugo or whatever, I get hate mail saying “wow that’s the only combo you know? noob”…
Some do it for the corner carry, but other than that it´s just the “look at me, I´m awesome!” - factor I guess. More than two tags are almost always a waste.
Meter usage bothers me a bit in this game, supers are almost never worth the cost, let alone team supers. I really can’t see a reason to burn 3 bars at once unless it’s going to win me the game.
you use cross art on hugo who has half hp bar being gray for example.
also, super in combo usually gives +100dmg, its good if you can secure round by using it.
but generally, yes. i’d rather have EX moves or tag cancels
Cross arts are also good anti-airs, at least for some characters. Definitely makes your opponent think twice about jumping even when playing a character without a good anti air move. Steep costs, but a tool to consider.
The Supers, Tag Supers and Cross Assault have their varied usage.
Supers are obviously not that worth doing if you just bring it in through a scaled combo. You can stack extra damage with gems and it’ll pretty much take off a lot of health as well.
Tag Supers, I believe, are pretty much a very strong anti-air and punish in the last winning round. It makes having the time on your side more valuable as they cannot recover anything on a character.
Cross Assault’s one of those last resort mechanics in single mode for recovering and normalizing all your health. Though I wished they showed more of what the CPU could do before they dumbed it down for release. It may have definitely been worth the 3 meters if it could do some tacky stuff players didn’t figure out.
Why is that I always end up fighting high-ranked players? What happened to all the class Ds? >_<
I have no choice but to face them as I need the experience of high-level play, but at this rate I’ll be stuck with 0 BP.
Endless is where it’s at man. I’m a C with 1556 BP and i can handle B’s.
Come to think of it C is probably not my correct ranking after playing so much Endless lol

^
I tried endless, but I only saw one lobby. It’s the PC version by the way.
I joined in and they kicked me maybe seeing my rank.
no, we were EU (2 russians and a guy from spain) and u were US. i saw you.
game lags enough without you ;d
I hate that it either takes me too long to find an endless lobby, or literally nobody joins my rooms when I make them.** If ANYONE wants to play endless and chat at the same time on XBL, PM me here. I don’t care how good or bad you are, I just want to play consistently with some cool people.** I spend more time refreshing the fucking lobby page than I do playing.
Yet another autoblock gem rant:
FUUUUUUCK AUTOBLOCK. I lost twice to someone who was using them and I swear he didn’t even know Chun’s Hazanshu is an overhead. He didn’t block it properly once in two matches. But ofc the fucking gems blocked them for him and I couldn’t do combos out of it. I lost nearly EVERY round because of this. I’m not even kidding.
That’s weird…useless endless has loads of lobbies with various levels of skills/settings. But um…I play on XBL and wouldn’t mind running some sets with you. I don’t have a mic unfortunately though.
