The Official Ranting Thread

I am so fucking sick of these whiners bitching about the problems that Street Fighter X Tekken have, and how Capcom has let them down and betrayed them and they’ll never get another red cent of their hard earned money. Yet when new games like Skullgirls and old contenders like VF5 come out to stake claim, they’re either completely ignored or spat on by those very same jackasses who wanted to get away from SFxT.

Those hypocritical Bastards wouldn’t know a good thing if it jiggled in front of them and gave them a lap dance! And in my honest opinion, some of them deserve to get screwed over for being so narrow-minded and not open to anything that doesn’t have the Capcom brand on the label, isn’t from Japan or doesn’t cost $60 bucks!

I don’t usually rant, but I had to let that out…

I agree.

I have been playing VF5 for the past week and I can’t believe how the game is so relaxing! If I lose to someone, I at least know that I didn’t lose to an Assist Gem user. The game has no gimmicks and it’s fun playing as Kagemaru again after so many years.

Unfortunately, I live in a small town (Despite the fact that it’s the capital!) and nobody will be giving attention to a game like VF5 or Skullgirls. Looks like SFxT is dead even on my local casual get-togethers and SSF4 and UMvC3 are the only ones standing strong.

Speaking of which, Skullgirls, I’ve been missing you, along with Blazblue and Tekken 6.

Oh I know full well the composition of my team and how to fight it is through zoning and I know that I’m just asking for fireballs. I meant that last one as more of a joke( Hugo and Gief make fun of fireballs in their quotes too ^^). I really don’t mind fireballs when Im using gief really, but with Hugo it can be a real pain in the ass, but alas that is what I must face with team hulk. Oh and I run vitality gems on both of them too >________>

I hate it when you come up against anyone with over 1000 points in ranking who hit you once and you might as well put the controller down because there’s nothing you can do to prevent the 20 hit juggle combo that inevitably follows. It’s like every single person playing online is a damn pro. I try to enjoy the game but when you can’t even get a hit on it sucks any fun the game had right out of the experience.

Juggling and quick combos are Tekken features, I think. I guess a lot of Tekken players have learned the system quickly.

The way you prevent combos is by not getting hit.

Hey don’t put that quick combo stuff on Tekken, that’s purely a Capcom idea lol. :razzy:

…okay to be fair “quick combos” have existed in other games too, they just didn’t… interfere as much, if that makes sense.

Juggling though, that’s definitely a Tekken thing, and I love it.

Anti-rant: I decided I like this game despite its easily fixable flaws. Whenever I lose its because the other person is simply better. That’s how it should be.

Not always, but there’s wayyyyy less fraudulent wins (so far) than in AE.

This.
This is a big part of y I don’t play sf4 as much and y I like sfxt so much, u earn ur wins.

lmfao, best post of the year

What’s so funny about it?

He thinks wins aren’t earned in sfxt.

Just ignore that dude. He has nothing relevant to add.

OMG!!! HERE’S MY RANT!!! (ALL CAPS ARE DELIBERATE).

Why is there no general team building thread? Yet we can get multiple hate threads? Life isn’t fair…life was simple with Pokemon Red. I miss the good old days.

LOL @ modding thread being deleted because everyone left

It was a mistake to even lock it in the first place.

Yeah! If newcomers come to this forum, the 1st thread and most viewed they can see is the Ranting thread.
Then the PC update thread, where people wonder why the game hasn’t been patched on PC since it was released 1 month ago
Then the thread of people talking shit to players that play the game as it’s intended to be played by developers

And if you want new skins, you have to go to a forum where people give links to torrents of the game.

Great way to promote the game, shoryuken.com!
