Anyways, yeah I noticed it got merged as well. :razzy: It’s just… I never, ever understood that type of thread. Been on a lot of forums, back in the day IGN Nintendo for one was good for those kinds of posts. “[Insert game] looks like [insert something I don’t like] I’m just making this thread to announce that I am no longer a Nintendo fan”. I hate to bring up that comparison, but it’s literally what it reminds me of, lol.
I’m just… like… and I care why? Don’t you have a blog for that? A Twitter account? Your Facebook page? A damn diary?
I just imagine them setting up a press conference, all mic’d up Lebron style and waiting for the camera flashes. “I’m taking my talents to AE.” Or something. I don’t get it.
If I play a game, and I don’t like it and/or sell it, why am I going to the boards for that game to post that? It’s like going to your EX’s coworkers to bitch about her. Why would… they… care?
You know who I respect? The people that don’t like a game and/or sell it or stop playing it… and I don’t even know until I either don’t see them play it for a while, or I outright ask them.
Every forum has those kinds of threads. There is this one online game forum where “popular” players making threads declaring that they’re going to quit/retire/whatever the game. It’s all but a matter of politicking and publicity.
I used to participate in forums more. Recently I’ve been starting to do it here, for whatever reason. But if there’s one thing that hasn’t changed, it’s that you always have this slew of people that are very dedicated to declaring threads useless. According to them, every post fits into some sticky or another, and if it doesn’t, it probably shouldn’t have been posted. Maybe it’s some mild form of OCD. It seems really easy to me to participate in threads that you’re interested in, and ignore the others. Your endeavor is entirely futile, because there will always be people that don’t follow your arbitrary organizational rules and just post a new thread for whatever’s on their mind. This forum isn’t your personal calendar, and it isn’t my blog either, so I’m gonna end it here.
Rant about the game? Well, I’d like that pc patch and a solid community to play with now, thanks.
Why can’t I do shit?! Oh yeah, my character hasn’t got a good reversal,I should probably stop playing because my favourite characters can’t compete, I am not allowed to use my favourite characters without losing a good amount of games, play god tier or die.
What’s worse is that when I lose pretty badly (mainly because the games match up system is awful, C+ vs A’s…yeah, thanks) I watch the replay to find out why I lost, and 80% of the time, it’s because they recognize that I don’t have a reversal and rush me down, and there is nothing I can do about it, what is there to learn from this to become better?
Especially whenever I get a knock down once in a blue moon I can’t do anything to pressure because of their reversal, and even if I predict it, because most scrubs are predictable with that shit, they just tag cancel and the hit stun is so great I can’t actually hit them out of the cancel, and even if I do I get a hit, I’ll just eat a combo by the character that just came in in most cases.
I actually don’t know. The one time i saw a guy use easy input I noticed he flashed white and pinged but didn’t pay attention to his meter.
Ryu’s DP can beat EWGF with the right timing. I pretty much hit Ryu on his wake up with EWGF or the regular one every time I knock him down, played a guy the other day who timed his SRK to keep beating it… It looked like he waited until he stood up, then immediately did the DP, so definitely not a reversal. He wasn’t able to do it from reaction though, he just knew what I was going to do on his wake up and knew how to beat it. Would’ve been easier for him if he just mashed cr.LK though lol. I’m sure you realise it but unlike SRK, EWGF has no lower body invincibility.
I was on your side until Heihachi and Juri. I fucking hate Heihachi and Juri just gets damage off of everything ever, I’m surprised she cant combo after a throw. I’ll go easy though, Law is decent but I played Paul on ranked for a while, nothing better than whiffing an EX-Up Kicks because your opponent crouched.
I really don’t like blowing meter on alpha counters, mainly because my characters are so reliant on meter to get decent damage.
People need to quit hating so much on this game. YES! Assist gems and walking jab are fucking awful and should, and hopefully will be, patched.
HOWEVER…
This game is WAY more fun and WAY less rehearsed than SF4. Unlike SF4, where you dick around to setup your hard-knockdown into rehearsed vortex, this game seems to actually reward some creative play. It’s not perfect by any means, but it feels a lot more fluid to me than SF4. I run into people that play like absolute ASS, strategy wise, but they all seem to have learned their big combos. Well guess what buddy? That’s not enough in this game. It takes some smarts and some skills too. And that’s what makes it fun!
I really wish people would recognize that. There’s too much sheeple hate going on with this game at the moment. Fuck losing to Viper and Seth’s vortex and calling that skill. It’s lame and it’s fucking boring. Learn to appreciate the fun in this game!
The lovely netcode came to a conclusion that alpha countering a jab-happy Cammy just won’t happen. So I watched the horror while sitting on full meter. Okay, lol.
That’s because most people know that raven is the best character in the game. The player using raven probably doesn’t like him, they just want to win and people have grown to accept that. If they tell you differently its probably a lie. That’s like someone saying they play hugo because they love his character. He’s very unattractive, has an under bite, rocks a jerry curl, and capcom hates him so much they paired him with the overgrown girl with a stick that looks like a transsexual. If you like something like that somethings seriously wrong with you -_-, just saying.
