The Official R&B and Slow Jams news, reviews, and stuff thread

Is Keri Hilson coming out with an album anytime soon? She seems more pop than R&B but I like her voice a lot.

Boyz II Men sell pretty well overseas (big in the UK & Japan). They’re not gonna be bringing any more albums over here anytime soon. I think they know what the deal is. Same as Amerie.

This has been THE INVINCIBLE SWORDSMAN saying:

BTW, have you guys heard about Tyrese, Ginuwine, and Tank getting together and being a group? …

It’s like LSG!.. except… with lesser known R&B artists. Oh well… I’d pick their album up in a hearbeat!

Define ‘big’… yes Boyz II Men sells their records over there but they aren’t really popular in those markets… but the Touch album was a big deal so Amerie might fare better.

That sounds dope I will pick that shit up to if it ever come out:clap:

Can ya’ll help me out? I need to put together a skinz mix and was wondering what songs I should put on it. Thanks in advance.

Jill Scott words and sounds prt 3>>>>you and your mother

I didn’t know Daron left 112

“skins mix”? What’s that? A tape for getting some ass?

This has been THE INVINCIBLE SWORDSMAN saying:

I’m so old.

If anyone would like to listen to a “perfect” r&b album track for track:

Toni Braxton’s debut album: Toni Braxton

I saw a random commercial on TV the other day about Babyface bringing out an album called “Playlist” where he’s acoustically covering all his favorite songs. It’s one of those MusicSpace.com commercials, so I think he’s actually on the way down from grace.

I can’t find it anywhere else though. =P

EDIT: Here we go. Nice song list, IMO. Dunno if I wanna pay that much to listen to it, though.

I found it on mininova, not sure if I can post torrent links though

just pm it then.

 Yea.

the Chris Brown debut is pretty good.

I’m getting tired of listening to old r&b music, I haven’t been keeping up with r&b music these days, what good albums are their for 2007?

Jill Scott, Angie Stone is straight, Sa-Ra if you count them as R&B.

i’ll check it out…

i remember i was on a trip to Australia and bought this cd with artists covering Phil Collins songs. Very good covers, especially Montell Jordan’s version of “Against all odds” Check it out:

Gotta Hold Over Me (Easy Lover) - Coko - my favorite track

I Wish It Would Rain Down - Brian Mcknight

Anyone excited about the new Craig David album coming up?

That last album he dropped (and only album) was long long long time ago. And then he went on his exodus.

Suppose to come out Nov 14th i think

of yeah? that was a pretty dope debut CD.

Dang

Hell no.

Lemar! If Brit R&B is your thing look for that name.
