The Official Qanba Fightstick Thread (New products Coming)

MSRP?

Also how exactly is “Qanba” supposed to be pronounced?

Chwon BAH

The “q” in pinyin has a Ch- sound to it.

Qi = Chi

QanBa’s logo has the Chinese words FIST and RULER/CONQUEROR

Dang it, that’s more awkward than I thought.

chwon doesn’t even capture it quite right, so it’s even more complicated

I’m trying to help a friend of mine pick out his first arcade stick. Right now he’s looking at the Q3 Empire Arcadia edition for PS3. I’m telling him the Q4 3in1 is a much better option, especially since it’s the same price from where he wants to buy it. What are the actual differences between the Q3 and Q4? Both are the same size and vewlix layout with sanwa buttons/stick right?

Q3 Empire is made of wood, Q4

I haven’t been around in a bit and did a quick search, but didn’t find any answers.

Does anyone know if the RE or SS Seimitsu mounting plate can be used in the Q4? I ask because the new RE and SS plates that come as an option for the LS-58-01 fit the LS-56-01. So, it would be nice to know if it’s now possible to mount a LS-56 in the Q4.

Sorry if this was already asked or answered.

When I change the art on the Qanba 4 do I have to get the plexiglass top panel? Or can I use what comes with it?

Probably not. Holes fit Sanwa JLF and LS-32, the latter without plate. If LS-58-01 or LS-56 have the same positioning for screws as LS-32 then you could put it in a Q4

depends on the specific model. the standard black Q4 comes with a painted plexi, so you will need an extra clear plexi for your custom art (although some people were able to get the original design off the plexi).

You can buy an MS mounting plate for the LS-56 and I guess 58 if it’s just an LS-56.

What about the White/red model? Will I need a new plexi to switch art in that too?

Except that the MS plate doesn’t fit in the Q4 (the holes don’t align from what I remember seeing here). That’s why I asked about if anyone knows if the RE or SS mounting plate does fit in the Q4. If they do fit, then it’s possible that the LS56/58 can be mounted in the Q4.

I thought the MS mounting plate allowed an LS-56 to be mounted anywhere a JLF could be.

just bought one.

this microsoft sony firmware update possibility has me worried though, could turn £130 worth of stick into nothing quite quickly for me.

anyone know how safe the ps360 pcbs might be from this or is it simply just cross your fingers?

While looking to answer your post, I think I found the answer to my question. Page 11 of this thread has a good post by therobin that shows why various Seimitsu plates do not mount in a Qanba (this was under the assumption, back then, that the Q4 would have the same mount as the Q3 - which I think is true. If not, then someone can correct me on that).

So, in short, the MS plate doesn’t work unless you do modding to it. I also forgot about the P-40 plate (RE for the LS-32/40) already for the compact Semitsu sticks (so, the SS plate is the newest plate for those).

Can you give a post number? I can’t go by page number with a mobile viewer. Also I think I’ve modified my posts per page option on normal viewing.

I’m glad I found this forum. Does anyone know how to get the headset jack in the Q4 RAF to work? Because I don’t see the purpose of it if it’s not going to work. Thanks all in advance.
