I just received my new Qanba Q4RAF stick a few days ago, it’s my first stick, and I’m having some problems with it. Nothing major(I hope) but:

1. The stick makes a little whining noise (if that’s the right word) when I move it to the right. There are no weird noises when moving the stick to other directions.
   The sound is insignificant when playing, but it has still gotten me worried over the health of the stick. It’s like I should oil it or something to prevent the noise, but I’m pretty sure that’s not the correct way to fix it, and I don’t want to void my warranty already.
   Do even think this is a problem, or should I just live with it?

2. I’m not totally sure if this only applies to the Qanba Q4RAF stick, but every time I launch up SSFIV:AE on the PC, I’m forced to rebind every input on my stick. It doesn’t work at all at first, I actually have to use my keyboard to choose the specific button I want to bind before pressing the button on the stick. I haven’t had any similar problems while playing other games on the X360 for example.

3. Also, is there a place in Windows where you can bind the keys beforehand, like by opening a driver software or something? I think I’ve seen some graphs where you can see the stick with the buttons, x and y axis etc, but I’m not sure if this is a part of the driver or is it some 3rd party software? I can see the joystick in “Devices and Printers” as a “QanBa Joystick Plus” controller, but clicking it doesn’t provide me with any useful information. I’ve tried using it on both PS3/PC mode andX360 modes.

Other than those minor, although a bit irritating problems, I’m having a blast with the stick, and I can’t wait to get better on using it.
At first I was sure that I’d change the artwork and maybe some buttons on it, but now when I see the stick in person I can’t stop to admire its beautiful and sleek looks. Good job!

On my Qanba, in either windows 7 and XP, I had to configure the buttons manually (only once) if the stick was in PS3/PC mode. It will remember it after a restart. I
If it’s in Xbox mode, you don’t need to configure anything in windows 7 or vista (not sure about XP, since I do dual boot, but you may need the official xbox 360 xp windows driver, or the XBCD driver for XP). It’s seen as an xbox controller and uses a default layout, exactly like the madcatz does (although the madcatz is seen as a licensed x360 device, but with the last 2 buttons as buttons instead of on an axis, while the qanba and the real X360 controller has 2 buttons on an axis (Trigger?).

I’m sure this has been asked before but I haven’t had any luck finding anything on 20+ pages of the forums here or on youtube. Does anyone know of any guides detailing how to install LEDs on a Q4RAF? I’ve only found one topic even mentioning having LEDs installed on a Q4 and that was a problem with the triggers being inverted in their output.

Sooo… my Q4RAF randomly stopped working with Xbox 360. When I plug it into my laptop, it works just fine. However, when I plug it into my 360, the 1 & 4 player LEDs flash quickly and the red Mode light turns on.

Anyone have any idea what’s wrong?

One of the studs that hold the cord placement panel broke on my Q4RAF broke and was wonder if there is a quick fix for it. The plastic stud is lost so gluing it back is not an option anymore.

Do you guys sell the cord placement panel itself??

HOWEVER: IT IS CAUSING MK TO DESYNCHRONIZE ONLINE!

Is anyone else having this issue? I’m not sure it’s in factory default since I pressed the buttons randomly and I can’t read the Chinese instruction manual. When I play with the MODE light OFF it will desynch randomly, anywhere from 1-in-2 to 1-in-10. When I play with the MODE light ON it will desynch nearly every match. Anyone here of this issue? I’m looking online for user instructions in English, but I thought I’d try here anyway.

Edit: If someone knows how to reset the factory defaults please tell me. Also, if anyone knows what the #s are for between the console select switch and the Select button, please tell me. The #1 is lit up and I don’t know that it should be, or what it means that it is.

I own a qanba q4raf but seriously want to upgrade to the SE edition and can’t find a supplier for that model here in the UK any one know of a good importer/exporter that may be able to oblige with my request.

Silly me! the door on my MINSK Ice Blue Qanba has been broke for a while, didn’t even think about Warranty!

Though it can’t really be repaired as one of the little studs that the door clips into snapped off, working fine otherwise though! Great product =]

I found that when using my Qanba on the pc that I set it to ‘xbox’ and then I had to bind everything with the mode ON (mode light illuminated red) Then I could just turn mode off and it worked every time for AE… Dunno if this will help but I thought it was worth mentioning.
