The Official Qanba Fightstick Thread (New products Coming)

sorry about the incorrect terminology…you know what i mean.

And actually I cannot magically identify, but…

What I can do is: using the same stick, if I cant to Iron Man triangle jump setup, launch, super jump cancel, jump again and go into infinite with a particular board/converter/whatever, but I can do it 100% consistently on a mad catz 360 fightpad on the same exact stick and buttons, I know something is wrong. And that’s technical but not as technical as BeatsofD’s fly, unfly, air to ground infinites/resets/extenders he does which require surgical type timing and execution. There are plenty of other scenarios, but I’m not gonna get into that or even bother arguing because realistically I want this stick I ordered (Qanba Q4raf), with MY money, to work out for ME. I can care less about anything else or proving whatever to whoever.

I didn’t

forgot.
I’m just swamp.

I will let you know more. I’m very curious about what you are describing.

q2pro pricing plz

I have a Q4 (Qanba 4) & my computer reconize it, but I think I don’t have the goods drivers. I have Windows 7 x64. So which drivers I need for make my Q4 working? I where I can found these drivers?

i just have some general questions about Qanba, because i’m thinking about ordering one today (either the Kindevu or RF limited edition one), but i’ve never seen one irl.

how does the build quality stack up?
how much does it weigh?
are they decent size? i saw a side-by-side pic of a Qanba and a Mad Catz, and they looked about the same size (which i would like). is that true?
any input lag or any other problems?
is it true that console patches in the future could make the stick obsolete since it’s not officially licensed?

they seem like great sticks, and i would love to have the 3in1 functionality, but i wanna make sure i’m getting a great product. for the record, i’d just be using it at home on XBL and PSN. i’m not a tourney player or anything.

i’ve seen them in real life at tournaments and they look really nice in person, however i’ve never played on one. at http://eightarc.com/qanba-q4-black it gives you a lot of specs about dimensions and weight.
as far as input lag, nobody at the tourney was saying anything about that and some of the top players were using them and even switching their TEs for their friend’s qanba/eightarc.

I’m having some issue with my stick that just got me worried… My R1/RT button just stopped working for some reasons. It was the first time I actually switched between PS3 and Xbox and suddenly it just stopped working… Since I’m at a friends place I didn’t try to switch the buttons around yet so it may be the buttons, but I wanted to know if anyone had a similar problem. I managed to make it work for like 3 seconds too… But it stopped after…

I had a similar problem a few days ago actually. This Sunday past my Light Punch button just stopped working during a session, but started working again after I went home and tried it out on my own system. I was playing on an older model Xbox 360 Elite and it seemed that during my play the button wouldn’t respond at times. I thought it was just me missing my timing or hitting another button but then I stopped our match and attempted pressing it several times and nothing happened.

So when I got home I opened it up to see if one of the QDCs came lose or to see if it was a bad button but when I tested it on my Slim Xbox 360, everything worked fine. Since that day, I’ve played several times this week and have not come across that same problem.

I’m thinking maybe it was a freak moment where something just wasn’t connecting right in the stick or maybe I had the switch in between both the Xbox360 or PS3 side. I don’t know.

Just in case you were wondering, I have a newer White Qanba Q4 which I bought in February from Video Games New York. I bought it from the store directly.

Well after trying it on Melty Blood on PC it worked fine… it seems to be with Xbox…

I have a question and maybe some of you have noticed this too but, I just got my Q4 yesterday and I noticed that while it works fine on ps3 and xbox, I get a weird error when I try to use it on pc. The driver will not install properly and I can’t seem to locate any drivers for this stick online. Any Idea what’s going on? My pc recognizes wired 360 controllers as well as ps3 controllers, and I’m using the ps3/pc option on my qanba to no avail as well.

On the 6 button Qamba Q4 Ice blue, where are the other 2 main buttons placed? I tried to google pics of the Stick but I only notice 7 major face buttons (I’m assuming 1 is a Start button). I’m about to TRY an purchase 1, change the artwork, etc. I really don’t feel like reading all the pages. So can someone help me out with this?

How does one go about obtaining a handle or 2 for the Qanba Q4AF?

  • Q2 Pro should be priced a bit lower than the Q4, but I have no concrete US price at hand atm.

  • Kingdom Zero: please contact Mr. Zhong from Qanba at zhongxianglong@hotmail.com. Don’t forget to send pictures and describe how this happened.

  • Jack Frost: see above :).

  • Kaze: No drivers needed, the stick should be recognized as QanBa.

  • jthamind:
build quality compares to other high-level manufacturers like madcatz or hori.
    weighs around 3,1 kg (Q4).
yes, size is similar, the Q4 is slightly bigger i think.
    no known input lag.

  • kunaki: please open up the stick like eric did and have a look at the cables, maybe something got loose in a heated moment of play :).

  • kamekaze: try to use it with the xbox option. if that does not work, contact zhongxianglong@hotmail.com - the Q4 does not need any external drivers to work properly on the PC.

  • dabrutishone: well, on the 6 button version, there are only 6 action buttons. what do you mean by “2 other main buttons”?

  • slaycruz: please contact Mr. Zhong from zhongxianglong@hotmail.com if you own a Q4 stick which didn’t come with a handle.

Does adding a plexi to the Q4RAF significantly alter the height of the stick like it does on a TE?

No ma’am/sir. The plexi fits into a recess on the top of the stick so there’s no raised plexi that will bother your arm or the appearance of the stick.

Oh brill, thanks. I was wondering if it affects the shaft height though, that’s something that’s really annoyed me with the TE plexis.

maybe I didnt look good enough, but the new q2pros coming (one for fitted for right/left hand players) there are none that are dual modded for ps3/360? I only saw ps3/pc
