The Official Qanba Fightstick Thread (New products Coming)

I emailed about a handle for my white Q4RAF a few weeks ago, but haven’t heard anything back except for an email asking for my phone number…

Anyone know of any U.S. based stores that stock the six button ice blue Qanba stick? I really want one of those.

Just got my Q4raf (ice blue) from arcade shock, from previous posts I was under the impression that they were coming with a handle. I didn’t get one… Oh well. Still a pretty dope stick. Maybe I’ll make one out of masking tape.

Just got the Q4RAF ice red and this stick is absolutely awesome - good quality construction and PCB innards. The out-of-the-box seimitsu LS-32 support is also very cool. Highly recommended.

I want a black Q4, and the Eightarc site is just out. Arcade shock is 18 shipping to the continental U.S., how much approx is Focus attack? I live in Kansas by the way. I’m not too fond of the Red/White, but I’ll grab that if FA is too expensive on the ship.

cannot wait for my ice blue 8 button to ship!

Ordered a Black Q4 from arcadeshock, and it should be coming in today. I’m pretty hype about it, since it’s my first stick, and I’ve got everything else ready (buttons, balltop, art, plexi, and octagonal gate) for when it comes in!

Thats really nice. Where do you buy those artworks for this stick ? Also did you have to buy a separate plexi cover or is there one already on the stick ? Thanks.

You have to create the artwork in Photoshop then take it to a print shop (I used Staples) and yes you need to buy a separate plexi as the art is painted onto the Q4RAF’s original plexiglass.

For more details on creating art check out this thread:

I added the handle last night and it was not as hard as I thought.

TUTORIAL: adding an official Qanba handle to your Q4RAF[details=Spoiler]NOTE I took these pictures after I had it all put together so you can’t see the screw holes from the top view pictures, sorry about that.

 1. First you need to remove this box so you don’t drill holes in it, and it will also need to be off so you can get to the screws.

 2. There are 3 plastic tabs along the top of the inside of the stick that stick out a bit more then the rest. Use the two outside ones (marked with the horizontal arrows) to guide where you need to drill for your screw holes. Find the center of the four wells that the vertical arrows are pointing to.

 3. Using the above wells as your guide; you need to mark the holes on the top of the stick, the center point should be 1.25 inches. BEFORE MARKING UP OR DRILLING YOUR HOLES PLACE THE HANDLE ON TOP TO ENSURE IT’S PROPERLY LINED UP. Drill your holes if everything looks good.

 4. Screw your handle on. Here’s a close up of how where the holes should be, use the first picture I posted for the other side.

came out great

Who do I contact about getting a handle? Also was there an extra charge for it?

I wonder if you should include washers on the screws.

You need to contact Qanba. I got my stick from Arcade Shock without a handle and they forwarded my mailing address to Qanba so that I could get one. They didn’t say anything about a fee.

Supposedly, handles will be stock on the newer batch of sticks. When that newer batch starts coming out, I don’t know. (I got my stick 2 days ago btw)

To people who have a Seimitsu LS-32-01 in their Q4s: does it come with the appropriate mounting brackets for said stick or do you have to do some handy work??

Is anyone else noticing when they use this stick with King of Fighters XIII (ps3) there is a delay when you press the punch or kick buttons. It kind of feels like when i press a button there’s a 1/4 of a second delay to when the move comes out ?

Or is this just how the game is programmed.

fatexd2: contact zhongxianglong@hotmail.com for the handle. you will not be charged for this.

MetuulGuitarist7: no problem. you will get help if needed nonetheless.

Nobus3r1: please resend your e-mail.

djkun: which model do you own? most of the models need an extra clear plexi to replace the existing one if you plan on using your own art.
somewhere in this thread there is a video guide on how to change art. it is pretty simple: unscrew the plexi, unscrew the bottom plate, disconnect the buttons/stick. then you can take out the plexi and change the artwork.

ukyo_rulz: please ask qanba directly (zhongxianglong@hotmail.com) for a 6-button template. although i think that the template should be identical with the exception of the two extra buttons.
