i did, got the code the day after i received the game.
I got mine before I even got my copy of them game. code was in my email the day after the game shipped
Sony is offering direct extended manufacturer’s warranties for new PS3s and PS3s still within their one year warranty.
You guys hear of Nier yet? It looks like a fun action rpg, and from the single video I saw it resembles Folklore. Putting it on my list of games to rent.
So after I buy 3D Dot Game Heroes the only two other games I’m interested in are Dead Rising 2 and Dead Space 2. I know I’ll be buying random PSN cards, 20-30$ games and renting random games in between, but those 3 games are the only ones I’m interested enough in having to play them day one.
Got mine the day after I received the game, check your spam folder.
nah I’ve never got it, even amazon has acknowledged that they haven’t sent it to me, saying “there were a lot of orders and we needed extra time to get more codes for everyone who purchased the game.”
so I contacted them the second time today and now their promo team will email me back in a few days, we’ll see how it goes.
It’s a pretty good game. Don’t peek at any spoiler, it will ruin the story.
Graphic: So so, not expecting much since it is from cavia, Square only handle marketing and most QA. Not the main point of the game anyways.
Music: Great imo, many tracks are choir.
VA: Main cast’s voice actors fits the characters perfectly.
Combat: Simply but fun, a little bit too easy if you are any good at hack & slash, control is very fluid.
Boss fights: Hell ya! One of the strong point of the game, I want to describe some boss fights but I really don’t want to spoil any, the representation of the fights are really good. (It seems cavia is good at this…)
Quests: A variety of side quests & a free paced main quest, nothing too out of ordinary but enjoyable.
Story: Well, tough to talk about it without spoiler, NIER is a story driven game and the story is good. Multiple endings, crucial to the story.
Weapon, magic: 3 weapon types & 8 magics. Upgradable.
Some other notes: Their are two version of NIER, nothing official but judge by the story I really believe the version we have with the Father(the other version you play as the Brother) is the intended, “father” fits the theme better… If you played Drakengard from PS2 you will see some cameo from NIER (two games are unrelated though).
It is not some high budget game but a very enjoyable RPG. Play Hard instead of Normal if you don’t want combat being too easy, Normal gets too easy at late game.
P.S. It got gardening and fishing mini-game, if you are into it those… fishing is really hard, for example different fish have their own patten & favor bait etc. Gardening…I think you can “breed” new specie of flower.
**Don’t worry. It took a couple of days to get my code after recieving my copy. You’ll get it.
**
This is some shaky logic. I haven’t played any of them, because I don’t think they are real castlevanias, but are the 3-d castlevania’s " hardcore crushing"[-ly hard]? How come you didn’t describe castlevania as hardcore, 2d action platforming? All of the “real” castlevanias are like that. It seems to me you just pick and choose what makes CV, CV. Just because they add RPG elements to a game series does not make that game not part of that series. Call of Duty 4 added an experience system, does that make it not part of the call of duty series?
Despite the fact you say they are “exploration based”, they are still surprisingly linear and combat is just about all you do. So I don’t know why you don’t think they are action oriented.
For the record, Order of Ecclesia was actually much harder than any of the previous metroidvania games.
GameSpot just put out a new ModNation Racers video; this one goes a lot more in-depth on the kart creation aspect of the game than anything else I’ve seen:

I dig the way you can adjust the embossing and transparancy of the stickers to create engravings and underlays and stuff; that should make for a lot more options than just plastering stuff LBP-style.
Rondo was the last “real” Castlevania
Not saying it’ll happen to you, but it took Amazon a full month to get me the Cardboard Tube Samurai DLC after T6 launched. On the plus side, a few weeks after release they gave me a $5 game credit to compensate for the delay, which meant far more to me than the promotional DLC ever could.
…damn in retrospect I wish they had screwed up on my SSF4 costume pack too
Red dead redemption comes with a 20 dollar amazon coupon thingy with pre-order.
If you’re on the fence about that game, that should be the tipping point.

EA needs to make a new Def Jam Vendetta. With the exact same engine as the very first one (WWF No Mercy engine. Best wrestling game engine ever). It needs to go back to being a wrestling game, and DMX needs to be top tier again. D-Mob should return as well.
That game was sooooo sick and surprisingly deep.

And the shit talking aka intro and win quotes in this game is glorious.
And I literally have no knowledge of any K-Marts near me. I could slam a kitten on a curb right now.
This.
And SoTN was the first and last metroidvania.
Agreed. I really liked the story and the gameplay in Fight for NY. I didn’t even bother with Icon once I realize that it wasn’t going to have the over the top wrestling moves.
O damn thanks for that tip. I was going to get it before this is just a bonus.
Just so you guys know, SSF4 on PS3 fully supports custom soundtracks now, even online.
