What is slow about it? Yes there a few features that XBLA has that the PSN doesn’t, but there is no/same lag as xbla in games (though all 1st party Sony games run on dedicated servers). At the very least I’m not paying for ads and non-dedicated server games (seriously all the 360 games run on p2p).

Has anyone been looking at Alpha Protocol? Same guys that made KotoR II. Its like this took Sam Fisher, Jason Bourne, Commander Shepard and Raiden’s rookieness and decided to make a true action/stealth rpg (none of that Mass Effect type stuff).
Yeah, I got the credit too. I’m definitely copping 3D dot heroes with my $21 in credit, but I fucked up yesterday because it was in my Gold box and I forgot to place my order last night.
I’m going to keep viewing it everyday until they put it back in my gold box, up until release date.:wgrin:
Not ever 1st party MP game from Sony run on dedicated servers. The only one that does is Warhawk. Every other game runs on P2P, which is the same as Microsoft’s LIVE service.
Nice! I’ve been on the fence about placing my pre-order for ModNation Racers with Amazon - I want the exclusive Ratchet & Clank racers, but I was a little hesitant about how well their “release date delivery” works, since I absolutely want that one on Day #1. If the delivery is good, though, then I’ll go ahead and do it. Definitely pre-ordering it now that Sony announced yesterday that all the pre-orders get a Sackboy racer too - he’s cooler than any of the other store exclusives!
Hey guys, I got the 10 buck deal with SSFIV as well, but don’t know what game to spend it on. Mine expires August the 1st. What do you guys recommend (assuming I already looked at the first post and either already have those games or have no interest in getting them)? I have no interest in any games that’ll be out by August 1, so I’d be looking at the past here. Here are the games I have right now:
God of War III
Ratchet and Clank Future: Tools of Destruction (don’t care enough to get Crack in Time)
Call of Duty 4
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2
Uncharted 2 (had Uncharted 1, but it didn’t have much replay value to it in my eyes).
Resident Evil 5 (not as good as 4)
Virtua Fighter 5
Street Fighter 4 and Super Street Fighter 4
Metal Gear Solid 4.
Those are the games I’ve picked out. Can anyone offer a recommendation based on them?
If you like shooters, what about Battlefield Bad Company 2, i have it and its actually really cool, kind of a different from MW2 because here is more team based objetcive than go kill who ever in MW2.

But it is a critical thinking game. I don’t want to spoil anything by mentioning scenes or anything but I can think of numerous times where you’ve got to think fast (especially where the commands are hard to read because your character is so disturbed, the prompt shakes like mad or is otherwise hella obscured) and depending on what decision you made will affect the outcome of the whole game.
