That might be true. All the ps3’s that are ylod’ing (that I’ve read) are the 40-80gb models.

Amazon pre-order specials are retroactive right? 'Cuz SSF4 now comes with a $10 game credit in addition to the previously existing DLC code and $3 discount. I ordered my copy way back in February.
it says “Promotion valid on all existing pre-orders” so I would think so, if not you could always cancel it and redo it, since the price is still the same.
does netflix on ps3 have a good or identical selection compared to the mail-in version?

It is the mail in selection as you say. You just get the added bonus if the “instant-stream” on your ps3 and desktop. Though blu-ray is $11 rather than $9 per month.
If you own a 360/ps3/wii/blu-ray player with stream/tv with stream then netflix is the BEST thing to get.
You can make a backup of your entire hard drive (even copyprotected saves and files), backing up to an external USB drive. However, make sure to upload your Trophy info to the server by checking your Trophy list or your Profile in your Friends List.
After you install the new hard drive and restore, remember to sync with server under Trophy options to get all your trophies back.

It’s not like if you buy a 60 gig it’s guaranteed to get fucked up, dude, they are actually very sturdy. But as far as I know the new ones are sturdier, so unless you really want the BC you might as well go with a slim.
lol good luck trying to find a 60 gig, people will charge EXTRA for the BC. 120gb is fine. I have an 80 gig and I haven’t had any problems with YLOD, however I haven’t played any of the games that seem to induce those YLOD(MW2). If you have 300 to spring onto 120gb you’d be set for a pretty long time.
If I could redo everything though, I would honestly buy a 40 gb model off of craigslist and just update the hard drive lol. But that’s the cheap asian in me talking.

Man I hope Yakuza 3 has sold well so far because I really want Yakuza 4 now. Nearing the end I think. shit’s getting pretty real.
yeah i’ve been watching Yakuza 4 walkthroughs specifically for the boss fights and damn do they ramp it up towards the end. Apparently Yakuza 3 has sold 80k so far. Thats actually way better than what Yakuza 2 did. So there’s always a chance we’ll see it here in the U.S. especially with how Yakuza 3 ended.
Well considering Yakuza 3 came out with extremely bad sales for Yakuza 2, I sure do hope Yakuza 4 comes out. There also shouldn’t be much cut content, since it won’t be a decision with a very short deadline to bring over Yakuza 4 like it was for 3.
Quick question, can’t find the answer , if I have a American ps3 but have a import game that needs a patch can get the patch off the Internet in America or do I need to download it off a Japanese Internet?
yeah I know what you mean about wanting Yakuza 4. Shit looks pretty dope, I’m also hoping for Ryu Ga Gotoku: Kenzan but I doubt that will ever happen
I could care two shits less about Kenzan. Just keep the focus on the main Yakuza games and we’re good to go.
Heh, I love the gameplay regardless, but the one reason I wouldn’t mind playing Kenzan is because I’m fucking tired of Kamurocho already. Walking around Osaka & Okinawa were definitely the highlights of 2/3 respectively.
