Hardly ever? VI was never remade once. If it does get remade it will most likely go the IV and III route.
Technically they ported it but they added shit to the port. It wasn’t a remake sure, but it’s more than they usually do.
But again, the original point that Japan doesn’t care about FFVI (they seriously like FFII JP more) stands.
Cathrine is slated for the 360 too unlike the rest of those games so that’s why it’s not there. My bad if this is why you are pointing that out though.
Tried to reserve Hyperdimension Neptunia at Gamestop a few weeks ago but they still were not taking reserves for it just yet. Oh and Disgaea 4 looks promising.
i beg to differ sir. it was remade/ported to Playstation in '99 as part of the Final Fantasy Anthology and then again in 2006 as a GBA game.

actually I also called FF7 on 3DS aswell but depending on how much they make on these two games they might just either bring it out on the next gen consoles or make a hyper 3DS version of it. fucking 3ds, we need that shit on next gen home consoles not handhelds. also why doesnt jpn like ff6? its easily the best ff ever imo (ever, better than 7 and what not). its got a whole boatload of likable characters with all their own sidequests and shit, story is gold, kefka is pretty fucking awesome (yeah he aint no sephiroth, hes way more realistic for some reason).

The last I heard about remakes of Final Fantasy games was the rumor mill for an HD collection a la God of War. I assumed it would be for the PS2 games. I hope that’s the case. I could use an excuse to play through Final Fantasy X again, as lame as Seymour Guado and Auron were.
FF5 is awesome. FF6 not so much.
I want Kingdom Hearts HD Remix but have the KH’s be the Final Mix versions.
And Seymour is awesome. He’s one of the only legit FF villains.
HD PS2 Final Fantasy’s would be cool too. As long as they were the International/Final Mission editions.
Kefka is “da best”. Ultros is pretty great too, but for completely separate reasons.
Kefka was the perfect villain to me. He did everything right in order to make me hate him when in RP-mode, but completely love him in hindsight. Even the themes based around him were fantastic (e.g. Dancing Mad).

That game as a whole had the best character development (and some of the most interesting characters overall), IMO. There is very little that I disliked about it.
I would also love an FFX HD. Probably too much.

Finished Uncharted Drake’s Fortune, amazing game. It definitely picked up 2/3 through. Started Uncharted 2 and holy shit…I thought the first one looked good!
Picked up Dead Nation, its good. Way better than Zombie Apoc.
LBP demo was nice too, gonna get that as well to play with the GF.
If you wait just 4 weeks, LBP2 comes out.

no it seems like they would be caking more if they did too. thats part of the reasons jrpgs are dying to square is trying to cash in on the handheld maket.
