Also just for your information, I just saw them post the following on FB:
“::whirrrrr:: PSN is back up and running for your gaming pleasure, maintenance is done! What are you going to play?”

They need to make it so I can play PSP game on the PS3 already. They’d get so much money from me if that happened.
Also, I bought the Tomb Raider Underworld game because I thought it was the Lara Croft Diablo playing game. WASTE OF 15 DOLLARS.
UGH. I got the Lara Croft game though, it is really really really good.
Tomb Raider: Underworld has good puzzles and platforming but the combat is fucking terrible. If you guys like action RPG’s with a good story then check out NIER. I was interested in it since its release but never got around to playing it until recently and I was glad I did. It has a lot of charm and personality and to me feels a lot like a PS2 game. Loved it, but it’s no Demon’s Souls(gameplay-wise or graphically.)
i would also spend lots of money on psp games for ps3…sigh
That is why they have the PSPgo, except it isn’t on your PS3, but you can use a dual shock plus play it on your TV.
I tried the dual shock on it and it works great. I just need to order the cables because the ones I have are for the PSP 2000 and they don’t work with my PSPgo.
Fucking Sony, I will just get some bootleg ones off of ebay.
You guys should just get a used PSP for 80-1XX$, then get the wire to connect it to your TV. I feel for you guys though, I always preferred playing my GB/GBC games on my SNES, the games looked so good back in the day on a big SDTV. I never got the GBA–>Gamecube connector thing though, I hear those things are rare.
Edit: How does the PSPGo work with your TV again? You just sync it wirelessly or through USB to your PS3, then use a pad to play whatever PSP game?
Oh yeah, PSPgo is going to be on sale at Kmart on Black Friday for $149. Just treat it like it’s a console and plug it to your TV and use your PS3 controller to play the games.
Yes I’ve considered this, believe me, but my thing is if I’m going to shell out for the system, I want to be able to buy the actual games. Persona remake collectors edition for 15 bucks at gamestop or just the game for $40 on psn? Although this does go against my wanting to buy games off psn to play on the ps3, so when Tactics Ogre remake comes out I will probably bite the bullet and buy a Go, even though I want the physical games for my collection for stuff like King’s Field Additional I and II and Persona and so forth.
Ideally the psp3000 would get an update where you can use a dual shock for it. It’s maddening that one version has one thing and the other has the other thing, but neither have both of what I’m looking for (ie UMD and dual shock).
It would be best if there was some kind of UMD ripper or hard drive where you could transfer your UMD’s onto the psp go. This would be perfect.
You hook up the Go to your TV with component cables, then sync your dual shock to the Go over bluetooth.
Now I’m in the Playstation Plus club, and I downloaded every free piece of crap that was on there and will check them out later.
P.Gorath,
Atlus is having a sale on PSN, so all games are 50% off for the next week. Persona and Persona 3 is $20 on there right now.
Yes ideally it would be nice to have a UMD ripper, that is the one major reason I keep my PSP 2000 is because of the UMD games I already have.
If you are so hung up about the cases, you can print them out on Photoshop and put them on your shelf.
I do think Sony is dumb as fuck for not having a solution, and not making all games available for the PSPgo.
The price, they were out of their fucking minds to price that thing for $249 with no library.
IMO, if they had labeled it as a PMP (with the extra ability of playing some PSP games) instead of a PSP, I bet it would have sold better.
250 for a 16gb internal (and memory expandable) device with built in browser, wifi, connectivity to TV etc, really isn’t that bad. Especially now that it’s $200.
A 16gb iPod Nano is around $180 or something last I checked.
Though, I’m going to be buying one for $150 on sale. I wasn’t aware you could sync a DS3 to the device. That’s a huge feature for me.
Yeah, I use my old SIXAXIS that has been collecting dust since PSP don’t have rumble anyway. Sony has problems marketing their stuff.
Now they say the PS3 only does everything, so that opens ears and eyes but doesn’t explain anything.
I know people that have a PS3 and didn’t know you could play Divx files on it, until I told them.
One of my friends was going to buy a PSPgo for $249 last year and I told him don’t buy it, it doesn’t have a UMD drive, it is digital only. He didn’t even know it was built like that. Everybody figures its just a smaller PSP with slide out controls.

Looks like somebody will be having a very Merry Christmas!
How the fuck does $1M worth of playstation products just get stolen? Someone wasn’t doing their job
Why is it that my laptop gets a 100% signal from my wireless router anywhere in my apartment, but my PS3 constantly fluctuates between 75-95% signal sitting where it’s at not very far (9ft away in the same room) from the router? Also the laptop gets more than double the Mbps Rate, and it says it’s using the 802.11n mode, while the ps3 is using 802.11g
On a drunken lark, I bought the damn Move bundle.
I think I may have suffered some sort of brain damage too, because I picked up Kung Fu Rider along with it :wasted:. Whatever.
Sent you a PM with a solution you may or may not already be aware of.
Do you have your PS3 stored horizontally? If so, try standing it up vertically. Also, consider where the PS3 is located in relation to other electronic items (ie. TV). I assume you have set your router to broadcast 802.11n (b/g backwards compatible) rather than “straight” 802.11n? Stock PS3 cannot do 802.11n.
If you are dropping signal intermittently, this can be caused by how the PS3 network card handles key exchanges. Your router is requesting to exchange its key regularly to ensure a secure connection is established and running. Change your wireless router security settings to NONE and turn off SSID broadcasting to help keep your network secure, setting it as “hidden”, and assign access by MAC address. This might make a difference.
Yup, definitely brain damaged. Kung Fu Rider sucks.
also I had no idea the original 3 splatterhouse games are unlockables in the new one. that’s reason enough for me to buy it even though it looks like ass.
That’s the game where the characters are on chairs or such rolling down a road isn’t it?
