so i picked up a used dualshock 2 at gamestop yesterday. they are in clear bags so I was able to find one that was SCPH - 10010 H. I brought it home, cleaned the shit out of it (dirty motherfuckers) and…the circle button doesnt work. :bluu:

Picked up Vanquish for $35 at Kmart.
the excess shoulder buttons are mapped to the joystick i think, left is the l and right is the r if i recall or somethign along those lines its a pain in the ass, so if you pickin a game that has l2 and r2 BEWARRRER, some dude actually added small buttons to the shoulders of his psp and wired it so it would work but that is mad work

So I went and bought Tomb Raider Underworld from the PS Store (gonna wait on Guardian of Light 'til a price drop or the online patch goes live). Never finished it the first time I had it. Dunno why it’s $5 less than on the Xbox Marketplace…maybe because it doesn’t have any free or paid DLC available for it.
I normally wouldn’t bother swapping my Sengoku Basara/Uncharted 2 discs out for TR, but the simple convenience of being able to instantly switch back & forth between two full-fledged games means I’ll give TR another go.
EDIT: If SSF4 was available for download I’d probably play it a lot more :lol:

I don’t think I have the patience for the trials. God damn. Some are really brain dead, but others just seem really fucking annoying.
I’m on the last level. Really enjoyed it. I feel like the game comes full circle. At first I was like “Why the fuck am I running through all these places? I want the fucking castle god damnit” and knowing what the ending is, it all becomes clear. I’ve actually enjoyed the game more because I know what the end actually is. It strikes me as a bit tragic. Much more effective than the stuff in GoW since Kratos’ motivation was great in the first game, but after that it was really just “RAAAAARGH I"M ANGRY”.
They could, but they won’t, because they can resell HD remix shit. And it’s stupid as fuck. There’s still no god damn reason to remove backwards compatability except they can make money reselling PS2 games are HD remix editions.
The PS2 with component cables hooked up to an HDTV looks horrendous. At least with a BC PS2 they clean it up a bit. That’s still my main beef. I have a ps2 but it sure as shit isn’t hooked up to my 55 inch because the games look like shit on a PS2, but look pretty good on my BC PS3. When it dies I doubt I"ll get another. I’ll probably just go buy a dedicated blu ray player. That shit has irritated me since Sony did it.
Just saw Bayonetta at my local Blockbuster pre-owned for $15. Should I pull the trigger on that? Did they ever fix the framerate issues on the PS3 version of that game?
they released a patch for the PS3 bayonetta which fixed all the slow load times and frame rate issues.

I find it really stupid how someone can dismiss features of a game just because you’re not pushing a button. It’s all part of a package that adds to the experience. That includes music, graphics, cut scenes, story, characters, environment & ethos etc.
