i see lots of valid points of the LOS issue. from what i have seen it seems like something i would like. Like i said earlier, i am a huge fan of castlevania (mostly 2D) But the story and characters draw me in alot. i havent really seen any of you guys talk about the story, and if someone whos really in to the castlevania storyline would enjoy the story of LOS. I would rather hear opinions of you guys then random game sites.
Nigga Please yourself, LoS is a dam good game, and a “Game” that has been keeping me playing for awhile.
I didn’t like Bayonetta at all. Couldn’t even finish it. DMC4 was so underwhelming. Not a GoW fan, so never played any of the games really. And LoS IS hyped up. And the game itself looks like it tries too hard. It may be good, but it doesn’t seem like Castlevania and looks like a Dante’s Inferno sequel or something. Best game out of the genre for this gen in MY opinion, is NGS2(Sigma 2).
But PS2 Shinobi crushes all that shit.
FotNS demo was better than expected. Game should be orgasmic for the fans. Dunno if it’s a buy for me though.
Nah, I didn’t know that. Oh wow, thanks for the clarification. Well, whatever the reason they forewent an all inclusive disc, I’m copping it later next month, prob GOTY edition lol, because I should be bored around that time. The new games most people are looking forward to are just meh to me.

I’m not enjoying how short and feature-void most games coming out these days are. Time was when a game was short or didn’t have much value in the package, it was budget price, end of discussion, whether or not it was awesome.

Well, if the game is good enough it has inherent replay value just in it’s own gameplay. It just depends on the player, if you don’t even want to play any game after beating it once, well, that’s just you. I do agree overall that sometimes games these days are just ridiculously short and it would be great to have more material, but again, if it’s just that great gameplay-wise, I can deal with it easily.

PSBlog announced the release of the God of War collection on the PSN. No price set. If it’s $40, I will laugh.
I am/was thoroughly enjoying LoS, but I honestly don’t feel it would be considered a classic. The gameplay and mechanics are pretty derivative when you think about it; it uses gameplay elements from so many different action/action games (platforming a la Uncharted, combo/fight system like GoW, etc.), and it does them decently well, but I think the presentation and production value is what really satisfies me.
It sort of feels like they took a bunch of different gameplay ideas and threw them all into the game, and they work, but for some reason to me it doesn’t feel entirely fluid or cohesive. Also, the game is a bit TOO linear for me. Like, I’m talking even the pathways to get through some parts of the level are narrow and leave no room to move around and explore.
The game isn’t without its flaws, but I’m having a ton of fun playing it and am enjoying the story (particularly Stewart’s narration and character). Again, minor complains from my perspective but still a good game nonetheless.
So anyone got Costume Quest?
I bought it, but won’t be starting it until I finish LoS.
I’m hyped about a new Schaefer game, and this one looks like an awesome Penny Arcade OTRSPOD-esque game, mixed with the awesomeness that is childhood.
