So y’all asses are gonna give me a job then? People always gonna bring up this shit, but won’t do anything to help. If you ain’t talking about something that I can walk up in their and they give me the job on spot then i don’t wanna hear it.
Like I haven’t been doing my own searching for the past 3 years. Some other bs fools had to bring this up when I was selling women’s care products, jewelery and clothes on campus. i said to him "Damn are you gonna give me a job?
The solution would be to pay your friend his money, not steal from somebody else. Don’t play it up like we’re the assholes when you can’t play because you didn’t pay your boy and he cut you off.
I found that it did, but I think that’s mostly because my plan had a really shitty upstream and I have a busy network. So more upload speed than download speed, IMO.
Depends, because what affect gameplay most is the lag, not bandwidth. How much lag/ping you got mostly depend on the distance between your house and your ISP’s local router.
If you upgrade your service there is a chance that they change the local router (or station, I just call them router)your house use, for example let’s say your ISP have 2 routers near your house, 1st one is 500 meters away, 2nd one is 1500meters away. If you are using the 1st one it should have low lag/ping, if they switch to the 2nd router/station once you upgrade you will have high lag/ping which fucking sucks for netplay.
Other factors include (not all of them but I will list the most common ones)
Traffic: If most of your area uses the same ISP it will affect the speed of your connection, the local network of the ISP just can’t handle it sometimes (for example fucking Verzion DSL in many areas)
Bandwidth: Even with really low ping but if the game demands more bandwidth than 1.5 which you got it will be slow of course.
So how do you find out? You have to ask the ISP directly for it, and chances are you need a level 2+ tech for it, the basic customer service that pick up the phone will have no idea what you are asking.
Better upload speeds = better hosting
better download speeds = less latency between host and you.
I was stuck on 1.5 for a long time and went up to 3.0 and even that made a huge difference. I am really ever host because my connection is still garbage but i will be making the switch to comcast as soon as I move out. So long gay ass SBC.
Yes it can make a difference up to a certain point like everybody is saying.
I have 3 mps now and when I had 1.5 before it wasn’t as good.
I went from cable 5 to DSL 1.5 and noticed it got worse, then I upped it to 3 DSL and noticed it got better.
I don’t know if I would have noticed the difference between the 5 & 3.
If you are only being fed down stream 2 mps, it won’t matter if you have 3,5 or 10mps because you are limited by the download. I had comcast cable internet at $50 5 mps and it was great, but I went the cheaper rout to ATT DSL for 3 mps for $30 and a free wireless router.
Timewarner got some good deal right now (at least in CA, not sure about other states). Decent bandwidth + Reasonable price and most importantly, no contract.
All that time spent leeching internet to play SSFIV and dodging your friend who you owe money to you could have been out looking for one of them job things.
So don’t try to blame your situations on us. We just tell it like it is. Don’t like it? Don’t post.
When the white text goes into a light background, it’s almost impossible for me to read. Also to read text from just regular speech boxes, I sorta hafta go somewhat close to the TV. This is the case with a lot of the PS3 games actually =[ PS3 has no love for CRTs
edit: I know everybody bashes game stop, but do you know what gamestop is amazing for? free game rentals. My gf wanted to play katamari, so I’m buying it used and returning it in 7 days
