i gotta rate all of you for your set ups, you guys are keeping the 2d fighters alive !!!
@ evanwingzero, leave it as it is, if it aint broke, dont fix it, btw in the background on the shelf, starting from the bottom and going up i can make out a te rnd 1 stick, then next up a mvc te stick, whats above that?? is it a hrap v3 sa (though it looks 6 button)?? and above that is it the nubytech sf2ac stick (looks kinda big)?? with a red dual shock resitn on it??? or is it a custom?
Top is a Modded SF Anniversary Stick, Next is a Modded T5 - Set up for PS2 now. Then MVC2 TE, then Custom TE for PS3. Going to be selling a bunch of sticks soonā¦
Good shit fellas but one question has anyone but the classic SF like ST,HF,ALPHA 2-3,3RD Strike,CVS2 inside the Vewlix Cabinets how do they run/look on the vewlix flat screens??? Need to know because Iām about the buy me a vewlix and a CSPIII board
I am using a 26" KDS LCD monitor but Havenāt tried anything other than my PS3 and 360 on it yet. I will eventually add a MAME setup, but right now I couldnāt tell you how it runs. Iād suggest running mame on an LCD Computer monitor before making your decision.
old games like alpha/cvs2/st should lag on lcd monitors. we are talking unplayable lag.
easiest way you can play those games is a jtagged xbox+finalburn emulator on the xbox running native resolution. this can be done with a computer too but I prefer xbox. all games on finalburnnext emulator runs perfect and I dont notice any lag on my 28" hann-g lcd(games look amazing with scanlines filterā¦alpha2 for days sirs!)
too bad there is no fucking cvs2 emulator on xbox360 yet.
I understand that but all iām doing is getting the CPSII/III board and playing it on the Vewlix I mean the look and play good on my 50"1080P Plasma but i want to know will it be the same on a Vewlix Flat Screen Monitor
The only real way to tell if the games will run lagless is to run them at their native resolution, which for most CPS2/3 games will be 224p. Run your emulators on that LCD again with that setting and tell us how bad weāre talking here.
If you manage to get at least 480p perfectly fine, then youāll have to get those games for xbox.
Donāt forget that even if you wanted to buy a Vewlix to run jamma games it wonāt do it out the box. You have to spend another 590 for a Vewlix Jamma kit from taito. Hereās the link. Taito Vewlix Jamma Kit
For the price of 590, depending on area, you can get yourself a nice candy cabinet.
fbanext emulator run games at native 1080p. I dont really notice any lag at all. there is no option to run games at their own resolution. the emulator itself was build to run at native 1080p. its just like sf4. was designed to be lag free on high resolution monitors.
like I said this is still better/cheaper than buying that jamma converter and all the boards. only games youād miss out on are naomi games because there is no emu for xbox360 yet.
Got a custom CP, and CP overlay to allow for the LS32ās to mount. They just donāt make them for Blasts anymore (or maybe never did). Sanwa OBSF buttons.
I use it as a light source in the room. Itās subtle from where I sit and work but it provides for some goddamned comforting ambience:
