I donāt have a store yet.
Iām expecting to open a brick&mortar sometime in a few years but I know a lot of comic book shop owners here in AZ since Iām a comic nut so both of these are in a comic shop right next to ASU.
Just added a new cab to the mix as of Thursday.
Needs a lot of cosmetic cleaning and the inside is full of rat shit, but it fired up right away and was FREE!
Itās not as flashy or professional as most of the oneās Iāve seen here, but me and my girlfriend made this in just three days last summer:
Our main goal was to see if we could put together something that works, so we didnāt aim for the best parts, materials or anything, we just wanted to see if it was something we could do. After we finished we both realized that we couldāve done so much differently, which is why this one will probably be trashed for a new one this summer.
The design is based on the Vewlix cab.
It runs the Hyperspin Frontend on an old but pretty decent computer, but is mostly used for Street Fighter or Pac-man.
Iām thinking of running an Xbox 360 in the next one for Umvc3.
Oh, and Iām sorry you have to see me and my friends smug faces, it was the only picture I could find right now!
@rcaido Do you mind telling me how much that cost you? As much as I like originals, the amount some people want for pro gear is outrageous. Ive seen Punisher cps 1.5ās go for cheaper than what people are charging and that game is more rare than pro gear.
@STEZO_ONEā
Yep. I have everything assembled at the moment, hereās a picture as of 2 days ago:
As an aside, the guy whoās coding this is currently going through some code revisions; as such, if you follow the steps on his site right now, they wonāt actually work.
I knew what I had to do (clone an older revision of the code he checked in), but had no idea how to do it via the Raspbian command prompt, so as a workaround, I downloaded that versionās files from the branch/repository, and copied it over via a mounted USB key on my Raspberry Piā¦
My setup is still quite a bit away from working, though:
I had sent off both my Naomisā BIOSā to get reburned (should be getting them back this week)
My netDIMM needed null key PIC (getting one from the same person whoās reburning my BIOSā)
Not even sure what the firmware version to my netDIMM is at this point; may need to send THAT out to get reflashed, but canāt find out until after I get my BIOS and PIC (unless someone tells me otherwise)
Need some games (as you can see from the photo above)! For the love of god I canāt find anything! And I really only want a handful of games either way!
Im thinking about picking one up also. Donāt really need another way to boot games for naomi but it just looks so fun to mess around with. @rcaido does raspberry pi boot atomiswave games also? I havenāt tried anything with atomiswave on naomi yet.
Yeah. Iāve been meaning to play with an RPi for a while, so this gave me the excuse to buy one.
I checked the source files for the Piforcetools, and Atomiswave games are listed, but only:
Knights of Valor - Seven Spirits
Dolphin Blue
Fist of the North Star
I donāt see why it wouldnāt be able to netboot anything you can netboot already via a PC; youād just have to edit the Python file yourself so that the code recognizes the gameās BIN file. Unless, of course, thereās something Iām not understanding with the way this is done.
From what im told, it should work just like any netboot so Atomiswave should work. Iāll try it out & report once i get it. Im really lazy so this is perfect for me, i dont have to bring my laptop & type out transfergame.exe crap.
Blast City running Dreamcast with a 15k Sync Separator circuit a friend built for me. DC MVC2 Is so damn good⦠All of these games look fantastic in 15k, Iād say damn near the same as my Naomi stuff does.
