I always wondered how those āWINNERā lights activate, is there some auxiliary chip programmed to communicate with the CPS2?
Been wondering about that tooā¦All I can find was a connector labelled ābillboardā that seems to go nowhere.
head to head is the ideal way to play imo. sitting next to your opponent sucks on a candy cabā¦especially if one guy is a heavy set dude. Iām clueless as to the winner section of the cab. its all hooked up but doesnāt do anything. i presume it requires a certain type of game to work.
Playing someone on a single candy cab isnāt too badā¦Im used to playing against people on the American woodies which are not as wide as candies back in the day. I think thatās one of the downfalls of head2headā¦You kind of lose that presence, you cant see the frustration, cockyness, its just less personal, pretty much like online gaming but w/ no lagā¦Ideally i like my setup side to sideā¦You can actually see your opponent & the body language they are showingā¦
That being said, i played the Versus City cab at Battle of Seattleā¦Freaken awesome cab w/ nice picture. I kind of regret not buying the cab, if only they made it an easier way to split themā¦

Finally finally finally found a 20" CRT with component input. The last one I bought was stuck on s-video and could not switch to component. I actually took it back to the pawn shop. Hah! Also got in new red/white Eurosticks this week which I used. I think they look kinda cool.

Yeah, the guy I bought it from had repainted it recently, I guess he included the bezel and speaker grills with it. Iām not a huge fan of the all white, but itāe in great condition and the price was good so I canāt complain too much.

I am looking for a trinitron. Is it that hard or do I have to keep going to pawn shops and thrift stores to find them?

yeah should be easy enough to find 2nd hand, people basically give them away, my 29ā flat with component/svid with cabinet and sub thing on top was about $15

I think they are talking about the Sony PVM, they are professional CRT tvs that make old school games look so amazingā¦There was one here locally & was selling for $75ā¦I should have snatched it for my SuperGunā¦
