yea man it’s no big deal, just thought I’d mention it.
I could disassemble it but the steel frame in the middle holds the cabinet together, you can buy a splitting kit from river service, but I dont think I need to split it in the near future so did not think more of it. Plus no room in shed.
oh ok
What stick & buttons do you guys used your cabs? Do you have a preference?
Im liking these new Sanwa Clears…I just got my order today

It’s all about the sanwa OBSF-30 in green!
Got clears on my pony II, looks ok, but I love pink and green combo myself.
Yup cant go wrong w/ pink & green classic look…They look great on Astro’s due the green art decal & marquee…

All my cabs have a different color theme to it…Having different colors make the setup more vibrant & unique…
Right now im really liking the red sanwa clears, they really pop but im going to go with my sanwa whites for my kraylix head2head…W/ start button clear red…What do you guys think?

I don’t know what you intend to do with the CP art and the overall paint job but as it stands now, maybe some white shaft covers/dustwashers would jazz it up. Might end up looking like peppermint though…:wonder:
im going to paint it all black w/ viewlix art if i can get someone to actually do it for me…
Something like this

The blue vewlix colour scheme looks smarter imho.
It does but i already have a blue kraylix theme w/ the full 2-player version…I want to mix them up a bit…

Blue, Red, Green then…primary colours of the spectrum, can not go wrong with that.
Started fixing / updating my Arcade Workshops Jamma Test Rig. Gave the Control Panel a Makeover with some scrap TE art and gave it all new Happ Buttons and iL sticks. ordered a new Jamma harness and CPS 2 Kick Harness. We use this at the shop to test any boards we are fixing / pick up at auctions. Currently, it’s running X-Men: COTA. Fun little cab and super easy to move. Going to be redoing the Bezel, rewiring the entire Cab, and paint next.

first test run with with the Viletim adaptor (http://etim.net.au/scart2arcV20/scart2arc2.htm) with xbox 360
uvc arrived so i’ll wire that in once i figure that out/get a power supply/vga cable… although i gotta say viletim is very impressive for 15khz, and if i didn’t have a duel res monitor i wouldn’t be too upset about just rolling like that.
but pretty happy so far, still gotta wait for the ps360s
I picked up the baby cab from a local buddy. Came with a world warrior PCB (I have about 6 of these now) that has some graphic bugs (Need to reseat the Chips for sure). Decided that since it was easy to move, it would be our test rig. It’s an adorable little cab that is actually a kit someone imported from Australia. Does a great job. Had COTA running for about 5 hours the other day with no issues at all. I may do a cap kit on it eventually, but other than that it’s just cosmetic stuff.
I have a cab question here; I’m building a cab and I’ve got two revisions complete for it. It’s a sit-down Vewlix-ish looking cab but entirely custom from the ground up. I grew up playing on standard American style cabinets where you stand and the CP is slightly slanted. I can play on both CP styles, whether it be slanted or totally flat. However for those of you who posses cabs with different angles on your CP’s or at least have played on numerous different cabs, which do you feel is better for comfort, ergonomics, carpal tunnel, precise joystick movement, yada yada, etc. I’m having a tough time deciding on totally flat or somewhere around 10 degrees.
Oh man I love that cab!
I didn’t think it would get that much love LOL. I’ll be sure to update everyone on the restoration/update then for sure! New Jamma harness should be here by the end of the week.
LOL.
I’m putting White T-Molding on, and I am thinking of making a Marquee retainer similar to what I made for the Vewlixish Clone. Once I get some more work done on it, i’ll post more stuff, including wiring.
Guess i’ll show these off too.
Next two projects :
Restoring this 6 Slot Neo I picked up on the cheap.

And restoring this Cab BACK to an original DK.

Just found some boards and parts, so they should be fun projects. I’m also working on fixing 3 different pinball machines too…so many projects.
