I am based in Wellington, New Zealand, so its quite rare to come across them but they do turn up. Sometimes cabs do turn up in our trademe.co.nz auctioning site and usually they are game centre operators flogging off written off cabs. My original man cave was the basement of the house, but it was converted into a self contained 2 bedroom apartment, so in a way, my wife is making up for the place she denied me off.
cool u gotta do a group pic of your cabs
Will need to bring an extra extension lead home tonight to make that happen. But yeah, group shot coming soon!
Edit:
Some pics, sorry couldnt get all the machines fired up at once, just working with 1 extension lead and I dont want to blow a fuse in the house…need to work on that.

Need to clean up a bit but you get the idea. Also, the new astro city came incomplete, so I had to improvise…
Nice work getting that shed. My cabinets are in our living room right next to the TV. I don’t get a lot of quality time with them.
my wife wouldnt let me keep any of my game related stuff in the house, so the shed was the ultimatum. In a way, having the cab dominate 1 room has a better feel than trying to arrange them according to decor in the house. Its better to get them tightly packed together and dedicate a small room for them.
As a full time working dad of 2, I negotiated a 1 hour daily allowance of no bothering time in the shed. I think that is fair at this point in time, but once my girls are grown up enough to play with me, they are only 3 and 1 at the moment, we can family pack together.
The sheds dimentions are also strictly controlled by the local council so its sitting at a maximum of 10m square and 2m high, as thats the distance from the wall to the neighbours boundary…wait till you see the views from there though, makes those 78 steps melt away!
Three is old enough to game with you. See if you can get her to express interest. My 21 mo old will sit on a stool as player 2 and mash his heart out. By age three he better be going for it!
nice i love the naomi universals
is that a hss-0130 on the new astro? if so how did they mount it on
My question is where are you all finding these great asian wives? Maybe it’t time I headed back to Korea for a while.
Anyone in the Minneapolis area, the Pawn America on University ave still has that SF pinball machine sitting there.

Still wanting $1299 for it, no way that price can be right, is there? How rare are these things?
yeah that price seems accurate pinball machines are very expensive rcaido just brought one a few weeks back i dont know what he paid though
hey does anyone know or have a moc up of the complete specs of a blastcity, astro city, or naomi universal cabs like this wewlix one?
I think there was a guy from Hong Kong who was working on wooden versions of the Astro/Aero city cabs… i cant find anything with the search anymore… the links are all old or something…
-After seeing Mr. Ceasar’s 1 player set up, I’m gonna order the 1 player panel for mine, or make one… i dunno, but it just looks soo good =)
My wife dont want the child to get addicted to games, so instead make her practise piano instead. Like your typical tiger parenting philosophy do. After I tidied up everything, I will show case the shed to my young ones and put on some cutesy shooters for her to play like…GALAGA! Cause thats the game that fired up my love for games.
I did not mount the stick onto the cabinet, havent got the heart to drill anything that is already set, so instead, had myself a piece of perspex which I “strategically” placed and screwed on timber (left overs from the shed construction) which mounts the perspex flush on the under half of the astros control panel. The timber holds the perspex snug so you can actually place any sticks on the perspex and play away. Might put my vlx on it and see how the marriage of 2 components from two eras come together??
Had no clue what this was until I read up on it. Doesn’t sound like much fun. You say piano, I say Rocko’s Modern Life.
dam wish you could a:) yea 1p panels look sweet
i was just saying looks like they mounted a sega hss-0130 stick on the astro city seeing it has the same layout 8 buttons the same insert card and no coin slot and from the looks of it has the sega saturn hss-0130 plate on it
u know u want 1 lol
Only allowed to watch cartoons/shows if there is a french language version…cause she is practising french as well. I always keep my fingers on the kids mental pulse to make sure my wife doesnt push her too hard…she is only 3 ffs. So at home sometimes she would converse in french, english, shanghainese dialect (which I can not fully understand) and mandarin. Recently she translated for a chinese family to the french zoo keeper at the local zoo when she was with her french nanny which I thought was neat.
It IS an actual HSS.
ha cool how did u mount it?
