I guess it depends on what you mean by good hands and big pots. In standard buyin 100bb deep at least, you aren’t going to win many big pots with 1 pair hands unless a lot of money got in preflop, most of the time you’ll need sets, straights, or flushes to bring in a nice pot. So I guess if you mean preflop, then no you don’t need to wait for premiums, but to win a big pot you will need a strong hand usually. That’s all assuming a 100 bb buyin though, in this 2/3 100 bi travesty you can’t take a lot of flops you’re going to need a legitimate starting hand.

BTW, recently I purchased a deck of Bicycle Five Hundred cards. Its cards that are used for 6 handed Five Hundred and comes with four 11s, four 12s, and 2 red 13s. If I were to play poker with these, minus the red 13s, would the hand ranks change a little? I know if you’re playing with a 5 suited deck, hand ranks will change alot, but what about adding 11s and 12s?
Wish KEM made plastic versions of the Five Hundred deck, since U.S. Playing Card Co. owns both KEM and Bicycle.

Nah, my backer said I suck too much when I multitable (last two weeks I’ve played the UB 200k, All 3 Stars Sundays, and FTP Mulligan and 400k at the same time without a cash) so he wants me to play only the $370 on Sunday.
