Stars has 2-7 triple draw for 50c/1 limit and 25c/50c PL/NL. NL is really stupid, so I played limit while entering some tournies.
Even though I’m not all that good at the game, the people who play are mind numbingly bad. I was up $100 in less than two hours. But hey, if you want to leap a double preflop raise and draw 4, go for it.
You should quit stalking me, esp since you know you’ve never had a problem with our transactions except for possibly you being envious of me or something:lol:

AA is garbage stfu its never good donk. As for you having to transfer me, w/e man do it again. Im a fuckin donk and I need umthrfkrs help so help me out ass. Maybe if I wasnt a fucking donk I wouldnt need it but w/e fuck it. If I was that easy to read I wouldnt be criticizing other ppls poker advice mr LOOK AT ME I BLUFF PLZ CALL, but its up to you. But yeah seriously FTP or stars for paypal plz thx pat<3
Flip: I think the bigger factor is just that the games suck, obv Im not viscant but from every account they have like the worst games anywhere, such that 100% rb doesnt even make it worth playing.
I also notice PokerStars now has oldschool 5 Card Draw as well. Don’t know if that was there before, but I wonder what’s usually the best starting hand that’s not delt trips, straights, flushes, full houses, quads, etc? As in, when do I fold a pair of aces pre-draw?
But I doubt 5 Card Draw will get popular or show up on the WSOP. Only draw poker game that’s usually on the WSOP is 2-7.
You’d open Aces every time in draw, call 1 raise most of the time but you’re mostly lookin to get Aces up or better. PL 5CD is fun, used to play some on ongame, problem is you cant really get too creative, pretty straightforward most of the time but there’s definitely some mindgames, you just dont have the options you have in other games to get creative with your play. Generally in early position you dont want to open with less than like Queens, whereas late position(button specifically) you can open with like a 88Axy sometimes. You need a really strong draw to play outside of the blinds, like at least an ace + 2 broadway and a four flush, and even then I wouldnt play that unless I had a fairly compelling reason to. If you’re first in always raise or fold never open limp. Dont slowplay your dealt pat hands, you’re action is effectively dead when you stand and you’ll only get more money in if beat. You’re going to generally see 2 polar opposite type players, ones that are going to be extremely passive and check call post draw anything less than like 3 aces, then those who are going to be aggressive with any type of hand and call 1 bet post flop with any pair better than nines, almost never give the passive players action if they like there hand and value bet/call the other type to death. Those are some PL 5d basics I’ve picked up from 2p2 and my own experience and Michael Weisenberg articles.
yea they have bad games, and I know that’s everyone’s issue, but it’s very possible to win at all levels there, and even 1 bb/100 = more profit than the worst games will allow thanks to rakeback. Either way, I just wanted to know if it was him.
Yumi Saotome: I can’t speak for 5 card Draw, but 2-7 TD has some of the sickest variance you will ever see. I used to paly 3-6 and 5-10 and the swings are comparable to SHLHE. My “mentor” ran 300 to 50k in 10 days in that game on UB, if that’s any indication of how sick the swings can be.
Oh yeah, I know. In my last session, I had pat 87s and 86s cracked by people who lept preflop raises to draw 2 or 3 at least a dozen times. Plus, I’ve had sessions where I’ve slaughtered friends who I am certain are much better than me in 2-7.
I actually really suck at 5 card draw. It’s probably my worst game. I know I’m not a winning player at it, so I think I’m probably doing something fundamentally wrong in that game. Anyone have any book recommendations for limit 5 card draw?
Last one I played i was top 15 in chips with like 130 left. It was gone 6 hands later.
I’m the most cursed person in the world right now it seems. Like if someone calls me with 4 to a flush on the flop, i’ll lose to runner runner straight. Stuff like that really fucking drives me mental.
I was playing some 5 card draw last night. Its alright but definitely frustrating. Like getting trips in the hole, someone draws 3 and pulls a fucking boat out of their ass. /wrists. I’d rather triple draw the same 2 cards over and over than lose like that, at least you can fold after that =[
PLO = draw to nuts only. When learning new games it’s always good to start super tight, so don’t play small pairs (even if you have 2 of em and they’re double suited or connected), stick to hands that are all connected, preferrably high.
