been playing on party lately
people play a lot of random cards, ive been getting sucked out a fair amount but when you have aces your almost guranteed a double up so i wont complain.
didnt see this til now
if youāre a vip on party you get random popups about getting free money for playing X number of handsā¦
currently they have a great promotion, just getting to vip status is the hard partā¦
generating about $1500 a rake in a month on tables over 3/6
So are the weekly SRK tourneys still going on with pokerstars?
Iāve never played in one.
orochi, that hand looks strikingly similiar to a hand i played last night, the pot was just as big too. just breezed through it tho, there might be some differences.
hm, just reread it. what kind of reads do you have on this person? absent of reads it looks like you need to do some catching up on the turn, but he is giving you a good price to do so, coupled with the fact that he may be semi-bluffing.
also iām not so sure i like the preflop, especially with no reads. you can make your hand but it turns out to be the second best, plus youāre out of position on the preflop raiser. play that JQo carefully if youāre gonna call a raise with it.
yeah the hard part is me wanting to actually go back there and grind a month for only maybe a chance to get in. plus i dont play nearly as much as i used toā¦and even then my mgr was usually a tad over 1400
Oh trust me, I HATE JQ with a passion. It has way too many dominance issues, but I was on a rush, so I wasnāt about to stop. I was having a pretty good run at the table, I was almost the only one being agressive pre, and post flop, and won about all the showdowns I had, calling down people bluffing or people just calling my pot sized bets. That particular guy tried to bluff a guy off a K A 2 flop with Q5o, but his q high held up, surprisingly.
Milo was playing very tight-passive, and the only pot I saw him win was with A2, ace high, just before I got out of there. I figure if he has me beat with QA, QK or hell, even Q5 heād call or raise me, and Iād have got out of there. But he mucked. My guess is he either had a lower pocket pair or AK or something.
Iād been taking the other guyās money, raising him and re raising him, making him fold pre showdown a few times. I think I put him on tilt. Overall I think I had a pretty good read on him, and he was about 40/60 to have that flush. I wasnāt really counting on it. And well, I called his AT down. Score.
iād also check behind on the turn, just in case you need to catch up. i donāt see him calling a turn bet with something that you can beat, plus you can minimize losses when he has you beat. and it gives him a good opportunity to hang himself on the river if he tries to represent a house/flush/trips, which a lot of players will. but youād have to call, and only call his river bet if he bets unless a select few cards come off. i wouldnāt fold to his river bet, he simply hasnāt given us enough info to suspect we are thoroughly beat. youād probably look to value bet if he checks the river unless another club comes.
lol, look at this outrageous hand from a sit and go i just played:

that same guy caught runner runnner straight heads up against my top pair, when i had k9 all in preflop against his Qt.
Wow. What is he, .005% to make that on the flop? Guy had some luck on his side that day.
So i just finished 18th out of 252 in an mtt. . .
My best placing with that many entrants and it was all turtling and all ins with pocket pairs. . . .
Wish I could finish higher than that though
who is this andy beal guy? he seems to have a grudge with the ācorporationā (top players) and that they are playing for live high stakes of 30k-60k!!! my GOD

The time before it was 100k-200k.
Matt, just wait till u get your first MTT win, feeling is great
its actually official now?
i was reading that they were thinking about doing it on the twoplustwo forums but didnt see anything that confirmed it
i hope i can get some rakeback on there.
the vip shit they give out just doesnt equal up.
hypothetical question. Letās just say a magic fairy appeared before you granted the ability to see into the future which cards will be in the community hand. But you could only choose one part of the actual deal. Which would you choose? The flop, the turn or the river?
OC
Riverstars strikes again. Iām all in with JQ on a JQx flop, turn comes x, river comes T and guy flips over K9, busts me out of everything. So stupid.
You serious?
Anyone who would rather see the river or turn is a complete donkey.
thatās not that bad orochi, i would like my opponents to put all their money in on a gutshot i donāt know about you.
