The Official Poker Thread

Might have the wrong guy inviz, I never play in the winners choice events cuz I’m not 21 making it useless to win em

I’m in the $69+6 6k guarantee which is starting in 8 mins, so if you’re online maybe we can swap or somethin.

ah…dude had something similiar to you s/n…just assumed it was you

ill check out that game you’re in right now

was 63k

but im down like 15k just now on cash games on fulltilt
so im calling it anight.

I cant believe pokerstars.

Twice in 15minutes i’ve flopped sets and lost to rivered flushes.

Unbelievable BS

You can make a living by only playing the strangest suited cards like King 3 on poker stars…makes me sad.

gay as hell
we had a blizzard today so i played for like 14 hours.

just trying to perfect my style, i think i was up like 5k?
but i was playing big tables so that was like equivalent to winning one hand over 14 hours.

Tell me about it. The worst part about it is that i didnt try to slow play them. I all in’d the flop.

opt, have you tried inputting hand history into pokertracker (if you have it) from ftp? I can’t seem to get any new hands in lately. Every other site works fine too

don’t remind me about k3s, or 82s either. a few weeks ago i lost back to back big pots when those hands outdrew me when i also had a big hand. the 82s raised preflop after a few limpers lol. now i don’t really like online cash games.

Sorry guys, but i have to quickly vent a bad beat.

I was in a poker tourney, was relatively short stacked. I went all-in with AQ. Two guys called. Flop: Q-Q-J

I’m thinking “ooooh yesssss.”

One of the guys goes all-in, the other calls. Flip the cards over. The bettor had QJ while the other had AJ.

The poker gods teased me by making me think i was gonna triple up. Oh well, that’s poker.

How many chips did the QJ have before calling your all in?

was the all in pre-flop or after flop??

Thats not a bad beat at all if you all in’d after the flop.

if QJ had a huge stack and u all in’d preflop its still not even a bad beat because he probably put you on any wired pair or any ace and figured it was worth a shot to take you out.

OJ was a significant chip leader, and he made the initial raise (forgot to mention that  ). Plus, he was stealing blinds in the last 3-4 hands with the same raise.

My all-in was preflop. The QJ was the one that went all in after the flop.

I felt that the hands were played correctly, except if i were the QJ, i would have slow played it against the AJ.

I only felt that it was a bad beat statistically. After i saw all the cards, i realized I had them dominated preflop, statistically. And I honestly thought I had that hand. I was putting those guys on AJ, KJ, Qx…pretty much only QJ and JJ were the only hands that were gonna get me. Considering his blind-stealing, I thought he was holding a very mediocre hand and only called my all-in cuz he only need to put a little bit more to call.

Oh well, i’m not mad or anything. It’s just one of those “aaah damn it, what could you do?” moments.

3rd nuts vs the nuts = bad beat.

I guess i consider a bad beat something else. I dont consider it a bad beat if you’re beat the whole way.

I consider someone calling with bottom pair and a 2 kicker after being re-raised and getting trips on the river a bad fucking beat.

If anyone is around and bored and wants to rail, I might be busting my atrocious slump.

Just about in the money and Im 6th in the FTP 8k guarantee. Shady_Flip.

6th out of 20 now…this woulda put me 2nd…I couldnt believe i didnt win this pot.

Ugh, out in 12th, maniac manages to tilt me by calling with jack high on a 9-3-9 flop against my a-k and hitting. Then I get A-Q and he finds A-K.

Wasn’t worth staying up for only $150 tho.

Sounds like a hand I played recently. Got J2 with the BB, I think it was 300-600 at that point, two limpers. Flop is J - 2 - T. One guy bets the min, has me just about covered, the other folds, I go all in and he flips his Q’s, gets one on the river. Ended up in 30th.

i havent been able to get my info into pokertracker for a while now man

update PT there was a patch that fixes the FT problem

thank you sir

Pokerstars is the worst place to play at.

I’ve never hated poker this much. No wonder they get shitty players to represent them like moneymaker because only people as stupid as him seem to play there.
