check that out. they are some hand history replays, and itās got something for everyone. lots of MTT action, lots of SnG action, limit, PL/NL, most with commentary. thereās one in particular that has helped my heads-up game so much itās like a complete 180. in one he faces off against someone who goes all in on any king or ace, if you got trouble with those types.
Im jumping in way late in this thread but i want to add my two cents. Online poker IMHO is definitely a great way to make some extra cash. Iām not saying everyone can do this, but this month i deposited 100 dollars into Full Tilt and turned it into just over 12 grand in about a week. After paying some debts, loaning some other fools some ends and cashing out ultimately 6 grand I would have to say that online poker is the nutz. I have been playing holdem for about 8 years now, with the great Mike Watson as my mentor. I started playing 2-4 holdem then up to 3-6. Low limit is a great way to learn the game and learn what to do in certain situations. BUT if you play low limit, especially in the live game, you will find that people will CHASE you all the way to the river on a one or two outer. Thats why I advocate playing NL. NL you can really make them pay if they want to chase. Its much easier to make a person fold 7-8 suited chasing a straight when u make them chase it for all their chips. The thing to remember about poker at any limit is that everyone takes bad beats. Its when you start chasing cards, looking for that one or two outer, that you really start to lose alot of money fairly quickly. Anyone in LA wanna come gamble with us, you can usually find us at Hawaiian Gardens or Commerce casino playing the 100,200,300 or 400 NL game.

Hey don call me next time u go to sycuan, i would have went with you. I been playing 8-16 at viejas on fri,sat,sun mornings after work, my limit skills have greatly improved. Btw the small tournaments at sycuan and viejas are garbage. Not much profit in playing them, youād be better off in a live game where the blinds arent like 10% of your stack.

Well it finally happened for me Tuesday night around 1am:angel:
Sitting in Seat 5 with a cold deck in my face I muck my hand and keep up the conversation I was having with one of the regular people I sit with about random situations we get :rolleyes: anywho I felt bad because 3 new people hopped in on the table so there was a small amout of dead posts in there I wish I could attempte to fire at, but the hands and player ahead of my kinda stopped it,but the muck at first wasnāt worth it.:wonder:
So here we go to a flop board comes AQ4 rainbow, betting with trying to rep the A happens , with 2 of the new seats ending heads up Seat 7 and 1, Turn comes pairng the board with another A!, then the buzzer when off in my head because I donāt think anyone esle was aware that it could happen. I kinda shut off my current topic of talk with my friend but i was like, āyeah just a secā¦kinda want to watch thisā I think he clued in because my attention was totally diverted. Also it was surprising noone said anything to void the fact the jackpot could happen, you always get those people, anyway. Betting round goes down, 2 still in seeing the river card. Then the Dealer flipped over the case A the river, literally I thought it was matrixād /slowrolled, LP bets after seat 1 checksā¦and Im likeā¦man your this deep least see the other mans cards for 1 min bet. After looking down and really wrestling with it he said, you probably got me, he showed JJ while LP better showed AQā¦and I goā¦waitā¦hold upā¦thats a bad beat! Everyone knew then and we all roared in utter cheer and the other tables came over and shook our hands and asked what the hell just occured.

After long and other attempts or being 1/2 way there and my HU oppoent not qualifying just being at the table was an awesome feeling and got some new friends and a story for awhile to tell
they didnāt update the jackpot board that night but the payout broke down like this

I took a break but I cant stop playing, im an addict. Yeah i got the same number 619-405-****. When does your semester start? Everyday sounds good, i think that if i have enough bankroll i could survive and probably profit throughout the spring. Im also looking to get an apartment, hopefully ill get one soon and closer to the casino.

i got a question for you, if you havent sussed out your table yet and miss the flop with AK, do you raise or fold. if someone calls a raise, do you jet on the turn if they bet? i lost 40 bucks a couple of nights ago by folding in that situation.
chances are that they are sitting on mid pair pockets and donāt want you to hit your cards
since my enrollment is not yet confirmed, iām hoping to move into my friendās apt near campus around mid-January. from there, i should have around $100-200 by then and iāll be investing it hopefully on WINNING :wgrin: iāll give u a ring once i come downā¦ i might be coming down before xmas actually so yeah iāll give u a call. peace

i feel you don. iām on a downswing now, especially with kings. motherfuckers in the live game just want to call my all ins PF with any ace and bust me. a3, a9, a10, itās all good.
yeah my aces cracked twice more again. but anyway, iām switching up to limit now. i feel that as long as i strictly follow Matthew Hilgerās book (I found out the book was mainly for limit!), iāll be fine. i just hope losing to the turn and/or river wonāt happen as often.
