Rebuy/Addon tournaments - Great for the winners, but those tournaments take waay too long and it keeps the fish in the games longer. I entered on at PP (5 dollar) and it started around 3AM. I didn’t really notice it was a RE/AO game so I thought it would’ve gone fast, but it took till 9AM to finish… and only about 300 players.
But if you come out a winner in these tournaments, the payout can be huge. I placed 5th and got little under 400 dollars for my 5 dollars (no rebuy or addon either).
Yeah, I think the director said that after the rebuys and addons the pot had doubled - there was one table (thank god I wasn’t at it) where 4 people busted in the first 20 minutes, all in crazy fests and I could hear them shouting ‘REBUY!!!’ almost constantly it seemed. But I read somewhere that the tourney doesn’t actually start until rebuy period is over, and I kinda dug that. And isn’t it a good thing to keep the fish around spending more money?

no, freerolls are stupid, i just did one the other day and, obviously, the opponents are so loose and make the oddest plays. at one point i was number 2 in chips with like 4k ppl left tho. i quickly lost it to runner runner draws and such.
Anyone tried those tier toruneys at FTP? Kinda like a cheap ripoff of the party steps.
Anyways, I tried a tier 2 and qualified easily (won the tourney too), and I’m playing a tier 3 tourney right now. Will update results.

I don’t see how you play past the flop, or even just flat call the turn. If you think he’s bluffing, raise him heavy on the turn or even the river if you think he’s on a flush draw. Suppose he has Kxs or Axs? If you pop him on the turn he’ll probably give you credit for the ace and fold right there.
Calling 8 bucks “for info” in a game where the blinds are .25/.50 doesn’t seem too smart to me. You’ll probably make it back really quickly since the players are shitty but it’s not a good habit to get into. It’s best to call for info when you actually have a hand showing down and not just queen high.

AA vs KK, thats a badbeat written all over, cant do much if they can beat u with a 2-outer
AK vs 88 is a just coin flip, but short stack vs chip leader makes the reraise all-in part questionable
IMO these couple hands looks kinda bad because you had some of the best preflop hands but the board never helped you
i caught phil ivey playing at Full Tilt. that guy is mad good. went from 10k -> 74k on the same table.
he seems to call pots at the right time with decent hands. i’ve also noticed in the chat box, that there are a lot of cock suckers hahahah
