The martingale roulette system of betting on a colour and doubling your bet when you lose? That seems to be the most popular but if you read about it more in depth you see how flawed it becomes.
That cant be it because theres no gurantee its gonna land on that color. My friend lost 1500 because it landed on black 12 times in a row. There has to be a more complicated system.
Eurobet will be joining the PokerRoom network starting on November 21st. If any of you have Eurobet rakeback accounts, they might be worth something again. Also it appears that theyāll be giving a $600 bonus (!!!) when they switch over.
Ex-Party skin network is dying fast. Empire/Intertops/Multipoker seem to be getting shakier and shakier. If I had money in any of those it would be coming out FAST.

explain to me how that would work mathematically thanks instead of just making up numbers
Assume your crazy hypothesis that itās possible to make 10% of your bankroll back in 30 minutes 99% of the time
That means if you have a bankroll of 1000, in 30 minutes 99% of the time your bankroll would be 1100, then 99% of the time from that (since every bet on the roulette wheel is independant of the other one) your bankroll would be 1100+110=1210
for fun i decided to just decided to see whereād you be at after 50 tries, which is certainly possible since you win 99% of the time, i mean if i pick a number from 1 to 100 and ask someone to tell me what number iām thinking, its conceivable that iād win 50 times before he even guesses right once (assuming i switch the number after every one of his guesses)
Amazing after 25 hours (50 30 minute 99% winning sessions) youād have turned your $1000 into $106,716
Man this system sounds so good, please share!!
When you explain mathematically how this works can you also include how much youāre expected to lose if that rare 1% happens and you donāt win, then I can tell you your average return rate per minute you play the game.
Wow after only 37 hours you turn your initial investment of $1000 into
ONE
MILLION
DOLLARS
Iāve attached a chart to show how you can make billions in a short time with SvNās amazing roulette techniques
Maybeā¦ but he said 99%! Maybe that 1% happens to him all the time! ???
damn yo, good looks SvN, canāt wait to cash my check.
Yeah, well the idea is that you double up your bet everytime you lose so that when you eventually win, you win all previous bets back +1 unit. Your friends expieience is a prime example of why this system is flawed though because eventually either the house limit or your bankroll will stop you from carrying the system on.
There is no way to win on roulette consistantly.
Iāve been watching the Main Event as well. Yeah, I even saw Jen Hartman getting sucked out by the Straight Flush. 98s a hand you usually call raises with? Usually, someone on WPT would throw that away when being raised.
Also, what exactly is āslow rollingā?
The difference between Harmanās situation and a WPT final table is that is level 1 and the blinds are 25-50 when you have 10k in chips. so a raise of 150 when u have 10k in chips isnāt that bad to call a raise with.
slowrolling is acting weak when you really are strong. Think of it like sandbagging.
you can see any, and i mean any, type of play at the wsop because of a combination of weak players, large field, and mainly cause the show is heavily edited.
to expand on slowrolling, iād say it means when an opponent takes a really long time to call an all in or show his winning hand, when he knows itās the winner. an example happened to me at a live tournament recently. i go all in with a short stack, one person left to call me and he thinks about it for like 5 minutes, only to show me pocket kings. itās just disrespectful.
I see. Iām just used to watching that $10 Howard Lederer DVD I bought at WalGreens and memorized the PreFlop chart that came with it. And 98s is no where on the chart. While on the Green Poker Bible book, 98s is mid/late only. But people do have different play styles.
Also, WPT this year did had one suckout-o-rama episode (Bay 101). But it was kinda funny to watch. Uber funny if Phil Hellmuth made that final table.
Christmas Eve = Hellmuth vs Matusow. Itās gonna be one hilarious show.
hell yeah i read all of the live updates. i canāt wait!
Vic Viper: can u return the video? u can DL it on the netā¦and IMO, itās worthless. he explains pretty much what the game is all aboutā¦barely any strats. also DL Mike Caroās Poker Tells. thatās some useful shit right thurr. when i played heads up with my friend at his place, i totally took advantage of his one tell where he would stare at his cards. once he looked at it longer than usual, it means he had a weak handā¦caught him everytime =D
Well, I bought the DVD almost a year ago. So thereās no return on it. And I also take it āThe Poker Playerās Bibleā is kinda the same as the DVD.
What about the Phil Hellmuth DVD on Bluffs and Tells? I watched it once and it was a free rent at the library.
i have a big ego so i like to stare at my cards when i have a good hand, it works quite the opposite.
entered a live tourney up where I live and got 3rd. Wooo!
Congrats Oni
Any stories/hands out of it worth telling about? how much did you get for 3rd?
3rd got me $215 off of $75 - ($25 buy in + one rebuy + addon - as a side note what are peopleās opinions of addons in a rebuy tourney? good idea / bad idea?). Itās a league with 9 more tournaments - they take 20% of the buy ins and there will be a final tourney for the 10 people with the most points - earn points by placing in the tourneys.
As for good hands, I pretty much never pushed my chips around until the final table, so while I broke some short stacks and took a couple pots here and there it was mostly blind stealing or re-raising before the flop to take the pots. I was looking for a balance between agressive and tight play, and everyone at my first table was really easy to read. It was my 1st live tournament and I went in with the notion of playing as tight as I could while still getting action when I needed to. I went all in on a draw during the rebuy period, and that was the wakeup I needed:
STOP PLAYING SHITTY!

Best hand I had was this maniac managed to be the HUGE stack at the final table and I took 1/2 his chips w/ Q-10 and the flop is A-Q-10, he pushes all in and I about broke my neck calling so fast. turned the boat and that made me the chip leader for a while. Lost most everything when I bet a ton to get this guy off a straight draw I knew he didnāt have, but I didnāt have anythign either so his A high won it. It was a stupid mistake that I hope to never make again, he was drawing to the wheel so I had to know he had the ace, but it didnāt register in time. In my defense it was 2am and Iād been playing for 6 hours, which isnāt shit I know but it was the longest Iād ever played and I was fighting to stay awake. Man it was fun, and now iām hooked through the bag on the poker. mustā¦playā¦moreā¦
