It feels weird using Growlithe in Unova, but when I found out it learned Close Combat through breeding, I HAD TO TRY IT OUT! I’m kind of mixed towards it. I do like the idea of quadruped using close combat then.
are you guys going for natures for in-game play? to me it’s hella pointless, because the cpu isn’t giong to be trying to outpredict you (lol)

:lol: same. I’ve done IV/EV/Breeding and all that jazz legit ONCE and that’s when Diamond and Pearl came out. Afterwords I was like “Fuck that, never again” and I’ve hacked teams ever since.

yeah, i used to actually breed for natures/movesets and do the item cloning glitch via GTS in diamond heavily…until i got sick and bored of doing it lol. i actually caught one ditto of every single nature in diamond! i wish i was joking but i’m dead serious lmao
i have probably legitly breeded one of every OU pokemon and more than a handful of UU pokes.
Yeah I don’t know why, but I declined on rock-slide. I immediately regretted it.

LOL. Why would you do that? EQ + Rock Slide has such beautiful coverage. There’s a reason why almost every physical sweeper in existence has Ground(of course, EQ is the only Ground move that matters)/Rock attacks in their optimal movesets.
@ White Shadow- Yeah, if there’s one new poke I don’t want to be unprepared for, it’s Excadrill. That bastard is gonna be a recurring problem this gen.
On that note, what other new 'mons do you guys think are going to be OU/top tier this Gen? I can see Scrafty getting a lot of love, but I don’t know if he’s top tier, and of course, that retarded ass Hydreigon has probably put Salamence out of a job(at least as far as Draco Meteor-bombing foos goes).

Scrafty is awesome IMO. Scrafty has dragon dance to offset that low speed. He also has drain punch for recovery. Drain Punch is the same power as brick break this generation.
people want the best outta their pokemon, if you can take a few minutes in catching the correct nature, then why not? In the long run, it’ll put a smile on your face knowing your alakazam isn’t adamant. Besides, Pokesav/AR for something like ingame would take the fun outta it. I don’t Pokesav/AR until after I beat the game legit.
Sometimes a few minutes can total an hour if you want the nature AND ability.
Also, the main characters are like 15-16 this time around. They aren’t 10 year olds.

In D/P that’s how it was for me, I think I’m getting lucky so far. Most of the people playing these games are kids so they probably won’t know about natures and all that stuff.

It’s pointless. Only time I really care is it I get Adamant on a special attacker or Modest on a physical attacker. I can just RNG the stuff I want after I beat the game, and getting the natures now doesn’t really matter.

I think I did it with Roggenrolla/evos. Got lucky with Rock Blasts and killed the Emonga’s no problem. Sandile/evos work very well here as well… as does Lillipup/evos, its Take Down outmuscles a lot of stuff early in the game.
I’m currently mass breeding with Zorua. Now that Ninetales and Zoroark know nasty plot, I can cook up Zoruas with Dark pulse, nasty plot and extrasensory.
