if i blissey gets hit by a phys att, it’s pretty much a lost cause no matter what, no? And in the few instances in OU battles where she would survive, will the extra seismic toss/ice beam/flamethrower or status attack matter?
are calm/timid blisseys competitively viable?
no, blissey actually has enough HP that if you give it defensive EV’s/nature it will survive fairly powerful fighting moves(including unstabbed close combats, or weaker stabbed close combats, everything else won’t one shot). Additionally it’s hp and base special defense are so high that it’s basically unkillable with special attack without any investment in special defense.
Anytime you 6-0 a trainer, you’re doing something right. 
For walls, the speed stat isn’t really important. Blissey doesn’t “need” to be faster than her competitors. She should be more focused upon walling and support (wish, aromatherapy, spreading twave, etc.) Therefore, a timid nature isn’t really required in any set.
Already being the best special wall in the game, the idea of a calm nature would only really be of use in ubers. This is where you would probably run into a Calm nature Blissey, otherwise many people go bold for better stalling opportuninites. With her tremendous bulk of HP, and combinations with say Toxic/Softboiled, she can even give Mixed Swampert problems.
Blissey that has max Defence will probably survive most hits, but with pretty low health. tolore is right that it will survive most unstabbed close combats, but stabbed close combats are no hope. I’ve only managed to OHKO Blissey twice, once with max attack Close Combat Machamp with Choice Band and Swords Danced Scizor with Superpower. Fuck Blissey.
Timid is pretty much useless since Blissey has horrible base speed.

Probably the biggest reason that Calm isn’t used as much on Blissey is because its opponent would rarely leave in a special attacker to fight it, so Blissey actually has to be prepared to deal with physical hits more often.
