You obviously would want to beef up his Defense a lot (but not by much; put some in Sp. Def too because he has a better baste stat for that), because he’s gonna be eating hard-hitting fighting moves
Just try for 29-31 in HP/Def/SDef, 25-31 in Atk and don’t bother with the rest unless you’re one of those weirdos who still uses SAtks with Lax.
An HP IV stat as low as 26 is acceptable, he doesn’t need 524 HP. What set were you gonna run for it? Curselax, Restalk, god forbid CB? If you’re going with standard defensive sets (Curse/Restalk) then just make him Careful nature. As for EVs, the standard for Curselax is 168 HP/120 Def/220 SDef. Don’t remember the standard for Restalk but I believe it’s 244 HP/28-32 Def/232-236 SDef. Just tweak it depending on the IVs you end up with.
No he won’t, because you should never keep a Snorlax in on hard hitting physical Fighting types (or anything with Close Combat/Brick Break/etc in general)

As far as the anime goes, Im tired of Ash. I think they should have went with the main characters of each respective generations with the old main characters cameoing (like in the manga)

RBY Series = Red/Ash as main
GSC = Gold/Ethan and Kris as mains
RSE= Brendan and May as mains
DPPt= Lucas and Dawn as mains
Or they could straight to DVD an OVA of the manga.
