In reality, the message is false. Flamethrower on Cloyster is actually neutral damage, it just says its NVE. Venusaur is “weak” to EQ, and Zapdos is “weak” to Thunderbolt, but it’s a glitch.

I just remembered the Ghost Wrap glitch in RBY as well. Wrap will supposedly not affect a Gastly/Haunter/Gengar, but there’s a chance that of trapping the ghost plus a “_____'s attack continues!” message for 2-5 turns (while still not dealing damage). :lol:

I think Slash is almost always critical in RB, more so if it’s the same type/STAB. That’s what made Slash/Bubblebeam Persian high tier.

Pay Day Persian ahhh…hella abused that when I was kid. Then I stop caring about it because I could just sell items off the missingno. glitch and be rich that way.

Since Critical moves ignore defense, I dunno if that effects STAB this time around. It probably does factor STAB, but yeah Slash is always 100% critical. Makes you wonder why they would choose stuff like Slash and Karate Chop.

Misty/May/Dawn Argument:

Yea Togepi really trashed Misty’s character. She turned from red hot head to sweet lovin caring, fuck that shit. Bring back Misty that rapes ash over a fucking bike.

I don’t like May, simply because her voice over from pokemon advance was ABSOULTLY HORRIBLE! I think they paid some old ass lady to finish the ADV anime as her! I really wish she just stayed a Pokemon trainer, I mean I don’t care about those fucking beuaty contests and fashion shows. Dawn’s not that much better either, but the only thing that matters is her hentai photos to A LOT of people. And that just pwns the shit outta May’s.

Gen 1 has so many ridiculous dated things, really. Karate Chop isn’t even a Fighting move, Seismic Toss and Sonic Boom can hit ghosts, Psychic being immune to ghosts, Dragon and Ghost attacks being severely under-represented, Sleep/Paralyze + Wrap/Fire Spin/Clamp being broken, Lance’s hacked Dragonite, etc.

Now that I think about it, I’ll just stick with FR/LG from now on for my nostalgia fix.

They started fixing things by Yellow but it wasn’t enough. In that respect, G/S was a step in the right direction.

Wrap/Fire Spin were ridiculous, even on the turn it finished would count as a wasted turn for trapped Pokemon. Being Frozen did the same thing too, so retarded.

Critical Hit Rates were also based on speed, so high speed Pokes with Slash and STAB could murdalize you.

A Hyper Beam KO has no recharge.
120% crit rate with Persian Slash.
1/256 miss with moves.
Rage with 1/256 accurary if it misses.
Selfdestruct and Explosion don’t kill yourself if you break a Sub with it.
30% burn with Fire Blast.
90% accurary Blizzard.
You can wake up same turn you fall asleep.
Glitched Toxic.
Focus Energy 1/4’ing your crit ratio.
Counter doing a fixed 200 damage if your opponent does not attack you (and has not yet).

They fixed a lot of the glitches in Stadium, though. Useless Hyper Beam is dissapointing.

I’m more interested in the coffin and electric tarantula pokemon. I hope the tarantula is also ground so it could be a new type combination for Pokemon.

That would be weird because if it were considered normal it should be able to strike psychic types. I dunno I should check it out, but I do remember it not being able to work.
