Need some advice here.
Replaying pokemon firered again, and trying to build a ingame team. Here’s what I have (no EV training)
Charizard at Naughty
Vaporeon at Modest
Snorlax at Brave
So here’s the questions (some might sound newbish x_x)
Is Brave a good nature for Snorlax? He cares nothing for speed I know, but I was really gunning for Adamant. I had to recatch this thing 50 times to get the nature right :@ + when I did he didn’t have Thick Fat :bluu: long story short I got tired of it and kept Brave/Thick Fat. I’m thinking of a staller like

Shadow Ball
Rest
Sleep Talk
I think my Vaporeon needs no help. Modest/Water Absorb, moveset looking like…
Surf
Ice Beam
Acid Armor
Baton Pass
I’m so lost with Charizard. I want a Dragonite, but that would mean using all my good TMs on him and not Zard. Plus, you HAVE to breed for DD which sucks (I wanted a Curselax but you gotta BREED FOR CURSE :wasted:) Anyway, he’s at Naughty to give him some good ATK power…

??? because I dunno what the hell is gonna be there. More likely it’ll be a ground type or something to that degree, but you only get ONE EQ in this game like I said. Most ground type pokemon with potential DON’T learn EQ sigh…

OK who is the HM slave in this game? Snorlax 2 (you can catch two snorlax)? I’m tired of pulling crap outta the box just to advance.
There’s not a lot of pokemon that use Fly good ingame. Imma just give it to Zapdos since I NEED a flyer.
I suggest you use Curselax. and considering your Charizard’s nature go for broke with the sub/salac sweeper.

I dislike how more and more stall is being phazed out…I like stall but these changes since DP have been slowly killing my play style.
nintendo has a vendetta against 30 minute pokemon battles

Actually I never really used Stall back then. I actually booted up my old Silver copy (wow I still have it all here!) and looked at my old team.

back when i had a charizard with fly, flamethrower, fire blast, and strength
I FINALLY caught Zapdos late last night after throwing a zillion pokeballs at it. I took a look at the nature and it was naive. See, this is thing I hate about this game. You NEVER know when it’s the nature you actually want! I wanted Rash or Hasty, but it’s impossible to tell unless you catch it. Though I guess that would make sense anyway, it is pretty aggravating just sitting there busting your ass then when you catch it - it’s useless!
Hell, the only way you can tell is if you test atk it (and by that, lets say it’s rash and you hit it with Auroa Beam…AB is gonna take a little bit more than it should do to the low SP DEF)
Nintendo cares nothing for stall. So many pokemon are getting better with offensive capabilities, the metagame is more offensive minded. See any teams running SkarmBliss nowadays? Shit, not me. Remember when people were like Cressy was the new Blissey? What happened to that talk (lmao)? It could (and probably would) be a lot worse if Garchomp was still OU, stall has pretty much abandoned every metagame except Uber.
Guess I best make an uber team and move away fom OU until the new sets drop.
Also to WS - Smogon mod made a torment Heatran and now torment is getting some love…your exclusive strat from way back is going to be taken away like Scizor…
Gamefreak loved stall in GSC. Then they gave Corphish Dragon Dance…
