on the other hand, a team you made yourself as opposed to copying someone else’s team just feels better and YOU know how your team works perfectly, I can take one of these teams easy but I’m not like the guy who made it so I won’t use it exactly like him. your teams WS works for you cause you know how why each pkmn was put there, it’s your style.
Togekiss is a great Nasty plot passer. I’d recommend a set but don’t know what team you’re going to put this on…so I could only recommend a standard setup.
Every time I make a team, I really like to try to make a late game sweep after setting up a path for something fast and strong with SR, para support, and a mixed sweeper. I find that I don’t win as much without setting up a Scizor, Lucario, or Agility passed Empoleon with a mixed Salamance or Infernape taking stuff out.
The only thing that I don’t like is that I don’t know how to deal with Latias right now, since I haven’t played in such a long time.
I’m out of the loop… I haven’t played in a really long time, since D/P came out, been playing platninum but I’ve yet to actually put in time to establish a team.

Exactly! 90% of the actual fun in the damn game is team building so I can’t fathom the concept of copying a team. Maybe a concept that you can use different Pokemon for, but not a x-copy.
I haven’t used a Staryu in a pokemon game in years…i’d like to go with him but my shiny staryu is at lvl 41. Too advanced for this stage in the game. I might breed a slowpoke or a new staryu
Maybe a dark type for my last slot…or i’ll bring in a ghost type, i’ve never had a ghost type in my story team
But I should probably get back onto Shoddy sometime, every time a new Pokemon from Ubers is brought down to OU, I feel like I don’t know how to deal with it since I haven’t played in a while.
For in-game you don’t really need a complete team to rape everything. Right now I’m only using a Adamant Gible I bread from Diamond, and since he maintained his moveset nothing can stop him early on. By the time I hit the 7th gym he should outclass just about everyone in there, including the leader. Of course the standard “HM Slave” is needed to advance the game - so I’ll eventually have to catch a Bibarel, who imo, is the best slave there is.
The only thing I’m particularly worried about is in-game enemies with Ice Shard, so I might try to train up another mixed-ape or something that can counter it.
Gengar will solve your ground troubles, and should take an ice beam or two (that’s not STABED). Gyarados avoids ground and is neutral to Ice, but you’ll have to build him up because Magikarp is pretty worthless. Gastrodon is another idea (especially with recover)
So I started playing on my new DS and I went with Piplup and Torchic as my starters (yes, I like chicken). My Piplup is gentle and has 19-21/x/16/10/26/x. I will need some time to make my first decent team tho
